No new Sopranos for two years minimum

Essentially, HBO have told David Chase that they aren't going to schedule the final season until 2006 so as to give him more time to perfect the final season. Also they are saying that they are in talks to do more than the originally announced 10 episodes of the series.

What will the Emmies do without giving half of their awards to the Sopranos.

 

I don't really know how I feel about this. On one had I don't want to wait that long but on the other the last 2 seasons have been seriously lacking.

While I'm disapointed about the wait, I'm also happy that they're thinking about making more than 10 episodes. A 10 episode season just isn't enough to conclude the series.

HBO still has Deadwood and Six Feet Under. They'll be alright.

Farscape used to delay anywhere from 6 months to a year while shooting new episodes, but nothing like this. I kinda think 2 years is gonna cause Sopranos to fall under the radar like ER and X-Files did.

I'm tired of waiting around for a show that can't live up to its former glory. HBO, Showtime, etc. have better original programming these days anyway.

It doesn't really matter to me because I haven't watched Sopranos since season 3. I don't get HBO at school, so I never got to watch it these past two seasons.

 

So in 2006, I'll be out of school so I'll be able to watch it. Atleast I better be out of school by then...

Don't think so. Oz is cancelled and the actors/creative team have all moved on to other projects.
