reign Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 It was reported that Kurt wants to lead a new stable and these topics are always kinda fun so who should be in his new stable? My votes are of course Charlie Hass, Jon Hiedrich, Paul Heyman and maybe a repackaged Rico or possibly Cena after a much needed heel turn. Your thoughts.....

Guest Anglesault Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 If I must see a new Team Angle, makeLuther, Booker and a heel RVD. Who in the hell is Jordan?
Australian Pride Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 I dont mind a new Team Angle, as long as they are wrestlers who, you know, wrestle. I could do without a goon squad led by Kurt, so definately keep Heidenreich out of it. Haas i could handle because they have history and he is a great mat wrestler. Maybe a re-packaged Jamie Noble and a tag partner as well. As for Cena, well i cant (and dont want to) see him and Kurt on the same side, and if he is making a movie then they will probably be keeping him as a face until afetr it has it's run at the box office

Guest combat_rock Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 Personally, I don't think everyone in a heel faction needs to be a great wrestler. Someone like Luther Reigns as the enforcer is good, because mostly he'd just do run ins to protect his leader. Anyway, I'd go: Angle Reigns Jaime Noble RVD Putting Haas in would be stupid, because he just now turned face. People need to stop flip floping their alignment, because no one will believe it when they want to turn again. Not to mention it's just stupid, unless it's a "pulling the wool over our eyes" story.
algrim Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 I could see RVD in Team Agle only if Heyman is somehow involved. Reigns and Booker are good picks. Another possibility might be the Big Show, but I doubt that they might put him there.
CanadianChick Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 A big guy, mid-card to upper mid-card guy (US Title level), and a cruiserweight. First of all, you got a guy for every title (except for tag team, but any 2 combo could win it). Secondly, no one overshadow's Angle, as the next highest guy, card wise, is the upper mid-card person. I'd like to see Luther, RVD, and Shannon Moore (dude needs a stable). More realistically, I think it'd be Luther, Dupree (I guess), and Noble.

Honestly, last year's Survivor Series filled my quota of "main eventers hagning out with jobbers" for the next couple of years. If they really need a cruiser in the stable, make it Chavo.
Guest Trivia247 Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 Anglesault is right about another team angle. I think the only purpose for the stable to begin with is to keep Angle on TV while he was injured so making him a team captain of a group which does the wrestling for him. Original Team angle including Haas Benjamine as well as Heyman's "Contingency plan" Albert & Big Show all together so no one notices Angle wasn't wrestling
Dangerous A Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 I've gotta agree with the 'Sault here and say ixnay on another Team Angle. It's redundant and stale. Let Angle rock on his own.
Vyce Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 We don't need another Angle stable. Let him just do what he does. If they feel the need to align him with anyone, have him maintain his relationship with Luther. Adding anyone else at this point would make no sense whatsoever.
humongous2002 Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 My team Angle would have Luther, Hass, Heyman and a heel RVD trying to undermine Kurt's leadership.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 My team Angle would have Luther, Hass, Heyman and a heel RVD trying to undermine Kurt's leadership. That would turn RVD face in the process....
Guest Coffey Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 Man, I think I'd mark out for a Rene Dupree/Jamie Noble team....
King Cucaracha Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 If it's another Team Angle, surely they'd need All Americans who focus on technical wrestling, as Haas and Benjamin were. After all, wasn't that the point. That Angle had young people like him to lead towards the future. Right now, I doubt OVW has anyone like that. Conway and Dinsmore might have passable for it, but still not perfect. And I'm not up on OVW right now so I don't know if there's anyone good enough technically to fit in. Luther I guess has to be in because his Angle's buddy. Noble would fit. RVD wouldn't. RVD doesn't need to follow Angle's lead or learn from him. And he's sure as hell not a technical wrestler. If they find a decent couple of youngsters to fill the Shelton/Haas boots, then it might work. Otherwise it's just another thrown together stable.
Guest JoeyStyles Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 Luther I guess has to be in because his Angle's buddy. Noble would fit. RVD wouldn't. RVD doesn't need to follow Angle's lead or learn from him. And he's sure as hell not a technical wrestler. But Luther is?
CanadianChick Posted July 28, 2004 Report Posted July 28, 2004 My team Angle would have Luther, Hass, Heyman and a heel RVD trying to undermine Kurt's leadership. Wouldn't that be almost the exact situation that RVD had with Austin? You know, with Austin paranoid because people asked RVD for advice instead of him, ect. And as someone else already said, it would turn RVD face, so his heel turn would be pointless.
Precious Roy Posted July 28, 2004 Report Posted July 28, 2004 Angle, Reigns, Chavo, Noble Give Chavo and Noble Angle-flavoured tights and push them as an actual tag team, let Luthor mess around in the midcard/US picture. They could concievably have all four titles and putting Chavo in the mix gives him some direction and fuels the Angle-Eddie feud a bit, plus it would be great to see Noble finally get an actual push. You can also elevate a team like Kidman and London in the process, put them in an extended feud w/ Chavo/Noble that has them feuding with Angle as well by default, maybe have them teaming w/ Eddie and Cena along the way for 6 or 8 mans. Booker is too big to be second fiddle in a stable, he'd be more like the unofficial associate of the group due to his association w/ Angle the GM, tagging with Angle or Reigns on occasion, and Angle would also by chummy w/ Heyman and whoever he's managing.
Scroby Posted July 28, 2004 Report Posted July 28, 2004 Who in the hell is Jordan? He was suggesting Orlando Jordan, why? I really have no clue. Anyways I guess I would choose, Hass, Luther and Noble. Hass= technical wrestler under Kurt's wing, Luther= Powerhouse of the group, Noble= Heel Cruiserweight and maybe one other person.

See, that's the problem. How is associating himself with jobbers and losers like Jordan or Shannon Moore or whatever random cruiser that hasn't been pushed in eight months going to build a formiddable stable?
CanadianChick Posted July 28, 2004 Report Posted July 28, 2004 Before Evolution, Orton and Batista weren't really anything special.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 28, 2004 Report Posted July 28, 2004 Before Evolution, Orton and Batista weren't really anything special. Orton was getting that the NFL treatment and the RNN skits and Batista was getting pushed as the animal and Flair's prize pick.

Orton was getting that the NFL treatment and the RNN skits and Batista was getting pushed as the animal and Flair's prize pick. You can't argue there. RNN skits were pure gold, and if it arent for them, Randy wouldn't be where he is at today.
Scroby Posted July 28, 2004 Report Posted July 28, 2004 The RNN skits were gold? I found them to be very f'n annoying, and I don't think they helped Orton get anywhere, where he is today. If anything did it was him be under HHH's wing and being in Evolution along with having the last name of Orton. The skits were dumb and were just a way for Orton to get very little cheap heat.

I don't really think the rnn skits where for cheap heat it was more so you didnt forget him when he was injured. lets face it he came in and made no impact and then got hurt so they needed a way to keep every one from forgeting him and it gave him a chance to work on this mic work
