Austin Aries vs. American Dragon (2/3 Falls)

Briscoes vs. Homicide/Low Ki

Havana Pitbulls vs. CM Punk/Colt Cabana (Tag Titles)

Samoa Joe vs. Trent Acid (Obligatory Title Defense)

John Walters vs. Nigel Mcginniss (Winner gets pure shot 8/28)

Carnage Crew vs. Whitmer/Maff

Remaining 4 guys on card with matches TBA: Roderick Strong, Alex Shelley, Ace Steele, Jay Lethal.

Judging by current storylines we're likely going to get Alex Shelley vs. Ace Steele and Roderick Strong vs. Jay Lethal.

To me this looks like one of their best shows ever, especially if those last 2 singles matches are added as expected. The two tag matches look like ****+ material, and Dragon-Aries from 6/24 is my ROH MOTY and maybe my overall MOTY. Acid-Joe will surprise some people, and even though I hate Trent Acid I know he brings his A-game for big matches and that should be good too.

I will definetley be going to this show.

I'm not so keen on Acid v. Joe (I mean TRENT ACID?) but I really want to see Aries v. Dragon and the two tag matches. The heat for those matches should be off the charts.

And Nigel better beat Walters- I want to see Williams v. Walters soo badly.

Anyone think Rottweilers may win the belts?

So what is it Generation Next do anyways? I forget who the members are already.

Briscoes vs. Low Ki/Homicide sounds great, Samoa Joe wrestling is always a thumbs up and what I've heard about the Havana Pitbulls (best tag team in the world) makes it sound like their match against the best tag team that I know of (SCS), sound pretty damn fine.

Really, really good looking show. On another other show any of Aries vs Dragon, Briscoes vs. Homicide/Ki and Pitbulls vs. Punk/Cabana would be a great main event, but all three on one shows means this is one event i can't wait to see, this should be one of the shows of the year.

Not sure how to answer this. They wrestle. They challenge established guys on the ROH card with the intention of taking their spot. The idea behind the group is that they are not friends, but that they are aligned together just to make it to the top.

The members are: Austin Aries, Roderick Strong, Jack Evans, Alex Shelley. They are a major part of the ROH shows now, and a real enjoyable part at that. Currently they started a feud with the Second City Saints on 7/17, where the Saints turned babyface.

Don't laugh....they may have been planting the seed that Joe may lose the title since the 6-12-04 show. Look on the rohwrestling.com site too as they are reporting that Joe is having a shitload of injuries(although kayfabed however), so they might be foreshadowing a hotshot of the title. But I don't think it will happen.....but I wouldn't be surprised at the same time if they actually do it.

I think Joe's injuries are legit as he's pulled out of other indies and PWInsider said he was really screwed up after DBD.

Acid is NOT going over for the title. If Homicide can't do it in three attempts- Acid isn't going over.

The man just jobbed to Jimmy Rave!

If Trent Acid was to win the title, I would expect Homicide to win it from him at the very next show. Have Homicide and Low Ki interfere and cost Samoa Joe the match, give Samoa Joe a little time off, let Homicide carry the belt a few months, then have Samoa Joe come back for one last match between the two before carrying over to Low Ki.

Looks like a nice card - anyone know if the ticket sales have increased or decreased since the incident? I wouldn't mind going, but ROH fans are the worst around. I last attended Wrestlerave and I'll never go into a place that jam-packed with morons again.

Actually, as far I've heard [from his LJ and such] that the injuries are pretty real.

But, there is seriously, no chance of them dropping the title to Acid.

Especially when they have tailor made feuds with Low Ki, CM Punk, and AmDrag, hell, they would even have a feud for AJ Styles and Joe if Styles were to return.

There would be absolutely zero way to kayfabe it on how Acid could beat Joe [injured or not] after Joe has bulldozed his way through guys like Homicide, Matt Stryker, Doug Williams, Christopher Daniels, Paul London, AJ Styles, etc.

0 chance of Acid winning. They are still building to big CM Punk and Ki title defenses. Regarding fans, it's real sad if you can't go with friends and have a good time despite some morons. There are idiots everywhere, the fans out here at socal indies are way worse, but I have fun anyway.

Havana Pitbulls vs. CM Punk/Colt Cabana (Tag Titles)

As an official mark for the Havana Pitbulls, I can't wait for this.

I'm actually predicting a surprise title switch here. Something tells me they wanna set up for Briscoes-Pitbulls for the titles in the near future.

That would be great, seeing as SCS could go off and fued with Generation Next. Plus, Briscoes vs Pitbulls at ROH Reborn was off the charts, such a great strikers match.

Samoa Joe vs. Trent Acid (Obligatory Title Defense)

This is a match to get Trent over. ROH has been trying to establish him as a singles star, and with a few good comebacks in this match, Trent could really get over.

I've also heard that they have no intention right now to have Joe/Low-Ki fight for the title. Although if I had to pick someone to go over it'll still be Punk. Homicide has lost WAY too many times for him to be taken seriously no matter what they do with him. Joe's owned him and even with the fire stuff and different things that Homicide has done........it won't matter.

I don't get to see ROH, but is Joe the JJ of ROH?

Posted

Meltzer posted a bit that they have no intention of Ki fighting Joe for now....but they are quite obviously building that match longterm in storylines. Ki and Joe had a falling out as friends in May after USA Pro, and I think they are working on getting those 2 back on the same page before doing a singles match. Still, Gabe knows that that is the match that will get huge buzz, and they will undoubtedly do it within the next 6 months. Maybe they'll stretch it out, who knows.

Not at all, really. I can see why some people might percieve that from the outside, since he has been champ for almost 17 months now. However, his title defenses have slowly evolved from "solid" to "great", and he is more over now than he ever has been. The crowd loves him being the champ for so long, which is the key difference. Oh, well there's also the critical difference: Joe doesn't own the promotion or book anything.

Looks like a good card, but didn't Low-Ki post something along the lines of "I'm not affiliated with ROH, nor will I ever be" when the whole RF thing happened? I'm not complainging because he rules but he just seems like the type not to go back on something like that.

I'm sure he meant he wouldn't affiliate with ROH with RF involved. If not, oh well. not a big deal. Feinstein is gone, might as well come back and make some money. :)

I've been been to loads of SoCal shows and I'd disagree with that. SoCal crowds like crowds anywhere can be bad sometimes (It varies depending on where you sit actually) but I wouldn't call them worst than the bad east coast crowds I've heard stories about or witnessed on tape.

At least in SoCal you only have maybe about 10-15 morons tops, while in the East it appears you can have several hundred at any given show.

From my experience at being at 3 east coast shows, and a hell of a lot of west coast, I definitely disagree. There are never hundreds of morons, it is usually about the exact same amount you would get at a PWG crowd. The difference being that the crowds are larger on the east, so the idiots can get drowned out, whereas the idiots on the West know they will be heard.

For examples:

--In March at PWG, the morons doing high pitched screams throughout the show, constantly distracting from the matches.

--At the PWG anny, front row morons doing catcalls all night.

Well, I've never been to an east coast show yet so I can't speak from personal experience there so I'll take your word.

Like I said it all depends on where you sit. Just move away from the morons and you'll never even notice them.

Final 2 matches added, and they're not what you'd expect!

Roderick Strong vs. Izzy (Should be great)

Alex Shelley vs. Jay Lethal vs. Ace Steele vs. SCORPIO~! (Can't wait to see this)
