algrim 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2004 Source: Joltin' Joe's Wrestling Hotline. Joe reported that Ron Simmons and The Cat were recently contacted by WWE for a possible return to reform the Nation Of Domination. Orlando Jordan may also be a part of this stable. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What do you think, people? Thumbs up or thumbs down? Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2004 DO NOT READ BELOW(SPOILERS FOR SMACKDOWN) Looks like Orlando Jordan is going to be JBL's new lacky, possibly similar to Virgil to the Million Dollar man. Or maybe just JBL's new bodyguard. Because he helped JBL from the Undertaker. modnote: Added spoiler tags, removed insane number of linebreaks
Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2004 The Cat...THE CAT!?!?!? Orlando..Simmons, of course I could kind of see (although its' a stupid rehashed gimmick) But still the Cat sucks..and plus after his comments when he was fired, I would think they're crazy. Adam 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2004 Teddy's a face now, it wouldn't work. They cant just have him randomly turn heel a couple weeks after turning face.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2004 Thumbs way the fuck down. Source: Joltin' Joe's Wrestling Hotline. Quite the shining beacon of online wrestling journalism, to be sure.
Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2004 Excalty, if they were gonna reform the Nation. Why would they turn Teddy Long face? Seeming as he could do this gimmick alot better then anyone else I can think of.
Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2004 Eh..people...where do you see a mention of Teddy Long.

algrim 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2004 Joltin' Joe is like a Mancow wannabe. He has a show based in the Northeast somewhere. I'm not saying the guy is like Meltzer. I just posted this to get a face value opinion from you fellas.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted August 5, 2004 Did Ron Simmons clean him up long enough to be valuble as a wrestler for the WWE, he left with a attitude
Downhome 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2004 This sounds like a "news story" that some kid just pulled out of his ass just to see how many morons would believe it.
Krankor 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2004 I wouldn't completely hate the idea of a group like the Nation being started again but with the likes of Jordan, Ernest Miller, and Simmons I hope it never comes about. That will be some terrible programming if it ever comes about. Quite the shining beacon of online wrestling journalism, to be sure. Oh yeah they're a very reliable and well-respected source. Yeah that's it...
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2004 They should only do this idea if JBL is the leader of the stable. He'd cut promos of him and his fellows being misunderstood.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted August 5, 2004 only one useful for the Nation concept is Simmons the original there isn't a overly dominating other wrestler that would fit the concept.

razazteca 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2004 Would it be possible to trade Maven to Smackdown for a jobber to be named later and cash considerations? Or is Maven stuck on Raw as the token black guy?
David Blazenwing 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2004 Hell yeah... why not bring Simmons back to SD (for the love of God, please call him Faarooq on TV) and join him with The Cat and move Mark Henry and Rodney Mack over to SD and hell, maybe even throw Booker T into the group as the Rock-type character who's bigger than the rest of the group. IDK, just an idea.
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2004 Bringing back a stable from over half a decade ago that was hardly popular enough to really be worth bringing back and with no noticable benefits to anyone, and said stable would be filled with nothing but total crap noone gives a shit about like the Cat, Orlando Jordan, Maven and Mark Henry. While it sounds like something the WWE braintrust would do, i seriously doubt it. This'll just be another unfounded rumour of the WWE bringing back random stable #6547457 that seems to pop up every few months.

If they'll all be rich, sure. It could work. Ron Simmons can come back and say he took JBL's advice, became a Stock Broker and is a new man. They can all come out of the limo with suits and Orlando Jordan can hold the ropes for them, etc. Edited August 5, 2004 by Cena's Writer

Guest stylz Report post Posted August 5, 2004 Joltin Joe, for those who haven't had the pleasure ( ) of hearing, does the wrestling line on The Toronto Star's phone service called "Starphone". He does have some credible sources, from what I understand and from the news I've heard him break before, but he may be the single most irritating wannabe "wrestling personalities" I've come across. And that says alot. J
Guest netslob Report post Posted August 5, 2004 if they do this, they need to drop the NOD name. it's been done, don't bring back dead stables, come up with something original. my suggestion: The Dark Horsemen. i use that name in my EWR games, kinda like an all-black Four Horsemen.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2004 The Dark Horsemen? Why not just cut through the bullshit and call them The Niggers while you're at it.
