Guest Eugene` Report post Posted August 18, 2004 Ok, I realize I am new to this site, but I didn't realize there were so many rules to follow. I don't agree with a lot of them, but fair enough. I apologize for my outburst in that thread I set earlier. However, had the posters who replied been a little more polite in the way they replied to me, I would have remained calm. All I ask for is a little bit more respect in the future, and I will do the same back. Thank you and have a nice day.
nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2004 Eugene', I'm really not slamming you, just pointing something out. It seems that - for whatever reason - the newer posters on TSM are the ones that have had problems. I've been here for longer than I care to think about, and have yet to be warned, or suspended, or ban-nihilated. There are a ton of posters that have been here longer than me, or have been more active than me, or both, that also have managed to not earn a reprimand. I read the thread that got you suspended, and really don't disagree with you that people jumped down your throat. But you didn't respond as you could have, and really should have. I'm not going to get all biblical and say "turn the other cheek" or any of that shit. But don't post responses like ... OMGZERS SIR, I AM SO SORRY, MAYBE I WILL MAKE A THREAD ON HOW BENOIT HAS THE SEXIEST BUM, OR MAYBE ON HOW HARDCORE HOLLY IS HARDCORE.................... Well i'm not reading all 8302 rules that mister nikjohns has enforced. Sorry. And if that gets me banned from this site, good riddance. You're just asking for trouble when you do that. Just ignore them and then they'll turn their attention to something else. Just my $0.02.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2004 Considering the heavy-handed nature of Kido's response I don't really blame you for over-reacting. Which you did. To be honest though, if you hadn't have made this post... Well i'm not reading all 8302 rules that mister nikjohns has enforced. Sorry. And if that gets me banned from this site, good riddance. Then of course, nikjohns was LIGHTNING quick to ban you. Odd, considering that Full House guy was around for at least an hour too long. Then again, he never dares to mention nikjohns name in a bad light, so what can you do? (Apologies if that sounded bitter, but it seems like anyone who puts the slightest foot wrong concerning him is heading for a ban nowadays and it's getting to the point where nikjohns is over-reacting.) (Apologies if that sounded bitter, but it seems like anyone who puts the slightest foot wrong concerning him is heading for a ban nowadays and it's getting to the point where nikjohns is over-reacting.) Are you kidding? I'll give you a hint: I'm not here 24/7. The Full House guy was banned as soon as someone saw what he was up to, same with Eugene`. It just happened that I was reading the thread as he'd posted that, so it made sense just to do it at the time. It has nothing to do with any comments they make regarding me, and I resent any implication of that. Quick point: The other day, Mad Dog made a thread entitled (something like) "Do you agree with me?" I asked that he be more specific with thread titles in future, and he PMed me to apologise and say he'd do so in future. It was courteous and appreciated. Eugene` is asked not to make threads on minor topics, and he reacts with: i'm not reading [the] rules Fine, if you don't want to read the rules, you don't participate. It seems we're damned for taking too long to remove killernerd, but damned for being too quick to remove Eugene`.
Guest Eugene` Report post Posted August 18, 2004 Well, let me explain this. I truly believe "IN MY OPINION" that Eddie flipping out is a major topic. It may not be to a lot of people, but that's the judgement I used. Eddie has done this behavior in the past, and it was my "OPINION" (isnt that what a message board is about, posting your opinion?) that is was a major issue because I feel he is suffering through burnout. For future purposes, what would classify as a "MAJOR" story and what would classify as a "NOTSO" major story. I'm very curious.
Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2004 The problem with that thread is that there's literally NO story, and NO facts there. "Eddie mouthed off with some fans that were heckling him" OH FUCK WE'RE GODDAMNED DOOMED! If Eddie had say...busted some fan's nose or took his lunch money, then that would be thread worthy because it shows a pattern of behaviour and everyone can chime in and give their solution and it can be a big happy circle jerk of "So sad for Eddie" " Fuck Eddie he should control his temper". simple, n'est pas? Guest Eugene` Report post Posted August 18, 2004 And it's reactions like that one which caused me to flip out. Anyways, i'm done with this thread, If you want to keep me out of the wwe folder, fine, but i've said my 2 cents. Chow.

You weren't reprimanded for your thread ... you were reprimanded for saying that you weren't interested in reading the rules. Big difference. If you hadn't gone off the handle, you'd still be in good graces with nik. (I think, correct me if I'm wrong) But you didn't, you blew up and that's what triggered your punishment. Guest Dids Report post Posted August 18, 2004 Here's the thing. READ THE BOARDS BEFORE POSTING. If you spend a week reading, and get a feeling for what goes on, you won't spend so much time getting in trouble, because you'll understand. Lurking=good for you. If you spend a week reading, and get a feeling for what goes on, you won't spend so much time getting in trouble, because you'll understand. Lurking=good for you. I totally agree. I attribute my decent posting ability to lurking. Once I registered, I barely posted and just observed. There's no shame in it.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2004 I went right into posting, all in the music folder, with some minor exceptions in the old WWF folder at EZ. Then the TNA folder was made here, and me and bps owned it for a while. Heh. Yeah...what's happening now? Anybody want some pizza?

BHK 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2004 I agree with the people above. I lurked for months unregistered. (this was before guest viewing was turned off) Besides making me a better poster when Ifinally decided to register, it also showed me what folders/posters were stupid/evil and that I shouldn't waste my time with them. That information has greatly increased my enjoyment of this place, because the posion that resides in it doesn't exist to me, I don't recognize it. So yes, I support getting a feel for the place before you just start firing off posts.
nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2004 Even if you're not going to read the rules & regulations, use some common sense. Follow the lead of the people that have been here longer than you. Don't challenge a mod. If someone offers constructive criticism (even if it seems like they're being assholes) grin and bear it, and learn from it. Message boarding isn't hard, people. Lurking=good for you. Exactly. That is a wonderful point Dids. -Now, I fully admitted that I overreacted at first about this......it pissed me off. Now most people here that know me or read my posts know that I don't do this to people here constantly and I rarely bitch when it comes to the rules and regulations......but plain and simple all I was asking was to READ AND FOLLOW the rules......that is all. for Christ's sake I even apologized in the thread about overreacting to Eugene himself.......so there's your respect Eugene. Guest Kageho Report post Posted August 19, 2004 Kido, two things. 1) He was banned from the WWE forum by the time you posted the apology. 2) Because he's banned from that forum for now, that makes your apology ineffective since he can't see it. Hence why he makes this thread. Just stating some things you might not have realized.

Dr. Tom 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2004 simple, n'est pas? Three years removed from my last French class, but I believe it should be: n'est-ce pas It's been longer than that since I've taken French. I'm pretty sure "n'est pas?" translates exactly to "is it not?" (or "it is not?" with the implied intonation) My French is quite rusty, though, so you could be right and "n'est pas" could just be a colloquial form. I heard it a lot when I was in France.
Guest Sylvan Grenier Report post Posted August 20, 2004 No, you see, it has to be "n'est-ce-pas" because "ce" is the "it" of the phrase, "n'est pas" is just "is not." Also, when pronounced, the former gives you "ness-pah" and the latter is "nay-pah." "Merci, Sylvan!" Rien, LMI!

Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2004 This reminds me of something that happened last night. I was on an online game for a little while, and discussion came up about marxism. Some 15 year old US high school student didn't even know what Marxism or who Marx were. Don't they teach children in school anymore? Eugene's fuck up was far more fulfilling in the humour department though.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2004 Karl Marx: the Marx that wasn't funny. Ciao can be a hello and a goodbye, IIRC. But Eugene giving the command for us to "chow" was funny.
