Gert T Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 I'm not gonna lie, the Sawyer ad was not that impressive, maybe because he was sailing away, and his "status" was in limbo, or his second flashback episode showed his good side. But if it comes down to Man of Science v. Man of Faith, it should be interesting to see which side he falls to.
Youth N Asia Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 Sale prices for season 1 of Lost this week TAGET: $37.99 BEST BUY: $34.99 with an extra disk CIRCUIT CITY: $39.99 and you get $5 off a cd with the purchase
Lord of The Curry Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 I just realized I have a $10 gift card for Blockbuster so I'll probably buy it there instead of Rogers. Now the truest test is to see whether or not I'll be able to watch is from beggining to end like I originally planned. I'll be really tempted to watch "Walkabout" right off the bat as it's one of my faves and I haven't seen it in full since it's original viewing.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 So I fell behind on watching episodes when ABC started running the repeats out of order. Weak. I guess I have to knuckle up, buy the DVDs, and watch them. Though I wonder how much it would cost to just rent the discs I haven't seen...
MDH257 Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 The Digital Bits is reporting that these are the contents of the Best Buy Bonus disc: Lost: Season One - Exclusive Best Buy Bonus DVD - includes the 43-minute Lost Journeys episode, the Flashbacks & Mythology mini-documentary that explores the stories and storytelling methods of the show and 2 Lost: On Location behind-the-scenes featurettes (White Rabbit and The Moth). I'm assuming they mean "Lost: The Journey", the recap show that aired before May Sweeps.
Damaramu Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 Ok seriously what the hell is the name of that song from the original Lost commercials? It's starting to appear in a car commercial too. And it was WM X8's video package song.
RavishingRickRudo Posted September 6, 2005 Author Report Posted September 6, 2005 I was watching some Firefly today and the US Marshall who escorted Kate played a significant role in one episode. My mind was blown.
Lord of The Curry Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 :Shinning moment: That same shit happened to me. Heart of Gold on Space, right?
DMann2003 Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 Good deal over there at Best Buy (being a Reward Zone member and all), I sort of dropped out on the season so I need to catch up. Oh and off tangent but one of the funniest films is out today, "The Miracle of Morgan's Creek" starring Betty Hutton and Eddie Bracken and directed by Preston Sturges. Only 9.99 at Best Buy, great deal.
Dangerous A Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 Am I assuming we keep everything "Lost" here as opposed to a Season Two thread?
Youth N Asia Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 We should have a season 2 thread, let new people get into it easier
Damaramu Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 Ok seriously what the hell is the name of that song from the original Lost commercials? It's starting to appear in a car commercial too. And it was WM X8's video package song. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Anyone?
iliketurtles Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 Oh, and I just picked up the Season 1 DVD...wayyyyyyyy too much stuff on it, lol. In a good way.
Ravenbomb Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 yeah, we picked it up today too. I might start watching the season, or watch a couple episodes with commentary, haven't decided yet

Anyone? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Trailblazing? It's Production Music...I believe. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Lord of The Curry Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 We should have a season 2 thread, let new people get into it easier <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Fuck 'em. We were here first.

Also, a survivor of the attack on the raft makes an appearance. As does Jack's wife, Sarah (Julie Bowen), in a flashback. Meanwhile, Shannon runs into a familiar fave in the jungle. Shephard: John Terry. Desmond: Henry Ian Cusack. Source: TV Guide Online 09/02 - The multiple Emmy Award-nominated "Lost" returns for a second season of action-packed mystery and adventure -- that will continue to bring out the very best and the very worst in the people who are lost. [...] In the season premiere episode, "Man of Science, Man of Faith," one of the castaways is chosen to descend into the mysterious hatch, and Shannon stumbles upon a shockingly familiar face in the jungle. The band of friends, family, enemies and strangers must continue to work together against the cruel weather and harsh terrain if they want to stay alive. But, as they have discovered during their 40-plus days on the island, danger and mystery loom behind every corner, and those they thought could be trusted may turn against them. Even heroes have secrets. Guest starring are John Terry as Shephard, Henry Ian Cusick as Desmond, Julie Bowen as Sarah, Anson Mount as Kevin, Ivana Michele Smith as N.D. survivor, Katie Doyle as EMT, Julius Ledda as EMT no. 2, Masayo Ford as nurse, David Ely as intern and Larry Wiss as anesthesiologist. Source: ABC 08/31 - A dialogue sample, taken completely at random, from Executive Producer and series co-creator Damon Lindelof's original script for the Lost season premiere: LOCKE: "You're lighter. I can belay you down and bring you back up just as easy. Shaft may be narrower down there, too." KATE: "You left out the part where you just wanna see if I'm gonna be eaten by something." Source: Oceanic-Air.com's mailinglist 08/31 - What happened to young Walt (Malcolm David Kelley), kidnapped by The Others? Shannon (Maggie Grace) will spot him in the woods, but she'll have a hard time convincing her friends that she's not hallucinating. And as for what's in the hatch, we'll find out during the premiere, though Terry O'Quinn (Locke) and the other stars hinted that the revelation will only raise more questions. ''My initial reaction was 'That's not huge enough,''' O'Quinn says. ''But my second reaction was 'How could it be, with all the buildup?''' Fox is a bit more reassuring. ''It's gonna blow your mind,'' he promises. Then there's Monaghan’s explanation: ''The thing about this show is it could be a bright yellow banana walking around with strawberries, and you'd be like, 'Okay.' It could’ve been Henry Kissinger playing tennis with Marilyn Monroe, and you’d be like, 'Sure.' Anything makes sense on this show.'' Source: Entertainment Weekly 08/31 - The season opener, "Man of Science, Man of Faith," a Jack-centered story, will introduce Desmond (to be played by Henry Ian Cusick), described as an avid daredevil who gets his kicks climbing the world's biggest mountains alone. Equal parts charismatic and gregarious and austere and zealous, it is unclear how Desmond will play into this season, but expect to see more of him as the story progresses. Source: FilmJerk.com
edotherocket Posted September 8, 2005 Report Posted September 8, 2005 I must find that song. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I can't find the song online anywhere. Where did everyone else find it?
Anakin Flair Posted September 9, 2005 Report Posted September 9, 2005 Okay, since I didn't want to ead the whole thread- Sell me on this show. Showuld I go pick it up, or should I pass on it. It's obivous that everyone here seems to like it, so tell me why. I'm interested, and I can get it for $35 at Walmart, but I wan't to have my eyes open on this one instead of going in blind.
Lord of The Curry Posted September 9, 2005 Report Posted September 9, 2005 Because it's better then what you currently watch on TV, hands down.
RavishingRickRudo Posted September 9, 2005 Author Report Posted September 9, 2005 What do you like? Star Wars, obviously. It would be easier to "sell" you on it if we knew what you'd "buy"
Mik Posted September 9, 2005 Report Posted September 9, 2005 Just watched Walkabout again since the first time it aired on TV... I just can't believe I didn't figure out Locke was paralyzed before the end of the show. They gave so many hints throughout the show. It's great watching the episodes again on DVD...just for the little things. I've only gotten through the first four episodes so far, but my favorite little thing... From the pilot... Kate goes to steal boots off one of the dead and looks up to see Locke catching her. At first it looks like he has a disapproving look, but then he smiles with an orange stuck in his mouth. I definitely didn't remember that and it was cool to see.
Lord of The Curry Posted September 9, 2005 Report Posted September 9, 2005 Another hint that Locke is in fact The Island Godfather.
