Nah, him sleeping on the top bunk suggests someone else is currently staying there, otherwise there's no point climbing up and having the bottom as the spare bed.

Go to oceanicflight815.com

There is a barcode type object next to the media link.

The password is theislandiswaiting

Personally, I think what they give you is another piece of garbage, just like the mapinguari page.

Oh, and apparently the "steroid" or whatever was labeled...CS 4 8 15 16 23 42

Maybe he just likes sleeping in the top bed. When I was young, we had a bunk bed, and I slept in the top, leaving the bottom empty.

Pretty sure the point of him being on the top bunk was to suggest there's another person staying there.

Another clue would be the diner booth like table, the place was made for more than 1 person. Whether it's for someone who's dead now or still there is another question.

Because, he has the shinnin' (/simpsons reference) and he saw that something bad would happen. At least that was my take.

My head is buzzing with so many ideas. I love this show.

I know, I just wanted to point out that sleeping in the top bunk doesn't necessarily mean more than 1 person. But, yeah, I get that it does in this case.

What's with the script stuff on the oceanicflight815.com website? Is that just discarded from the 1st season?

One more thing before I'm off to play some Madden...

The 108 all over Desmond's place...

Yeah...

4+8+15+16+23+42 = 108

Anyone notice a mural in the hatch when Jack went down there? Apparently there was a 108 on it, which is what the "numbers" add up to.

And what's all this about Rousseau connection!?

On the island, we have:

John (Jean), our man of faith

Jack (Jacques), our man of science

Danielle Rousseau, the mysterious French lady.

The numbers, this adds a whole new dimention to the show.

The best part is that without touching the story of those on the raft, they could dedicate most of the second show to that and leave fans waiting for what's going on down in the hatch.

And I agree wholeheartedly who whoever said that its a good thing they did not go down the Hatch in Season 1.

And kudos to the show for a bold way to start Season 2.

And maybe Desmond just ain't a bitch. Bitches ride bottom bunk.

Zoniks.

Uh, so, wow. They have definetly taken the "next-level shit" approach to Season Two so far.

So let's get to it.

- Loved loved loved the opening. Kept me guessing the whole way but the more I noticed that what the guy was doing was a very uniform, specific way I kept thinking "This guy is not one of them". Then the walls shake and it hits me that he's beneath the fucking hatch. Jesus. Maybe the injections were to prevent a disease of some kind?

- Locke continues to own shit. "I'm tired of waiting".

- Kate's descent into the hatch. The light, the rope pulling down. Fucking hell.

- I dig how they're slowly but surely building up people for the science vs faith thing in how they're reacting to everything. So far it seems faith gained some supporters in how Shannon, Hurley and Kate all reacted tonight. Sayid is still stuck in the middle and it's fucking with me.

- I need to stop being good at calling stuff out. The minute I saw Desmond come up to Jack I thought that he was the dude beneath the hatch. I still don't know how exactly how I feel about this, it's cool and all but it's taking the show dangerously close to being too unrealistic.

- Awesome design job on the living quarters/lab area beneath the hatch. The mural gave a whole "caveman" vibe in the sense of it was there before the observation area was set up.

Fucking A.

Absolutely amazing way to start the season. The opening threw me off, I thought it was Jack's flashback, but then all this 'Alias' type stuff started happening and then it all clicked.

Also didn't make the connection between how Hurley knew the guy from the psych ward until tonight. Looks like another Hurley flashback episode this season...awesome!!!! :)

There very likely is a connection between the hatch and disease, but I don't know how it could tie together. I figure the hatch and tunnel network was there for a long while, long before Danielle and her crew set foot on the island. Hell, maybe the island was a facility designed to observe the effects of the disease, with the hatch keeping 'them' out. Then assorted others began coming to the island, Danielle's crew included, and everything went to shit.

Given Desmond and Jack's paths crossing, intentionally or not, the question is where the hell he ties in. Assuming the above is even remotely accurate. Is he part of the original group, a part of Danielle's crew, or something in between? And yeah, LOTC, I theorized there's probably a second purpose to the injections, like staving off the disease.

The man in the SUV who Jack decided to not attend to.

Adam Rutherford. 57.

Shannon's father.

How do you know that?

Her last name is Rutherford, and although it wasn't explicitly stated how, we know her father died at some point. All this was said in the Shannon/Boone episode. It's a fairly safe assumption.

08/31 - The season opener, "Man of Science, Man of Faith," a Jack-centered story, will introduce Desmond (to be played by Henry Ian Cusick), described as an avid daredevil who gets his kicks climbing the world's biggest mountains alone. Equal parts charismatic and gregarious and austere and zealous, it is unclear how Desmond will play into this season, but expect to see more of him as the story progresses. Source: FilmJerk.com

Spoiler in regards to Desmond, his background and what role he'll play in the future.

Yeah, I mentioned it earlier. It's labeled CS and the numbers follow.

Oh, and as for the experiment hypothesis...the door was labeled quarantine on the inside, meaning what's past that is quarantined (ie the rest of the island). It's certainly a plausible hypothesis.

It looked like he was expecting the door to be blown open. It looked like he had a set plan because he was pretty quick to react once the hatch door was blown open.

All the major news stations covering an emergency plane landing for over an hour before your show.....that's how you promote a season opener.

Seriously though, holy crap what a way to start off.

Hurley explaining the numbers to Jack only to have Jack ask about the psych ward was great.

The way he had all the mirrors rigged to see the hatch, yeah I think Desmond expected it to be opened sometime.

When they found Vincent, you could tell he was looking at something, and then Shannon sees Walt.

Walt.....what the hell???

Locke ruling as usual.

Awesome episode.

I just realized this, and unless I missed something to qualify it, I can't figure it out for the life of me....

At the start, in Desmonds place, while he's walking around, was there or was there not a window or two with sunlight coming through? I was looking at all of the aged stuff in his place mostly, but I remember windows with sunlight.

Weird with it being underground and all.
