What should I blow my money on?

Recommended Posts

Guest Agent of Oblivion

Right, through some careful budgeting, I'll have my hands on around a thousand bucks I'm going to blow on something by the end of September.

I'm torn between a laptop, musical equipment, or a stereo for the truck.

Computers I know precisely dick about, can one attain a real good laptop in this price range?

Musical equipment-wise, I'd either be getting a 2 18" subwoofer cabinet or a fretless six string Bass.

Car stereo..I have no idea. Probably something modest but fairly loud, and a new cd player.

Spend it on buying your own personal entertainment system. If all else fails, go on a road trip. B-)

I'd go for big ass tv! Unless you already have one of those, I'd say laptop or truck stero. A little bit off topic, what happen to your Dr.Doom stuff?

No.

You've already got a fairly head kicking sound system for your bass don't you? I'd say get the fretless.

Yeah, it's already ruthless, I'm just going for gratuitous. 1,000 watts pushing 2 15"s, 2 8"s, and a horn at 2 Ohms. Thing is loud and CLEAR. The Addition would be a huge subwoofer cabinet that would spill bowels. Especially if I crossover on my preamp..oh god. It will raze villages then.

The fretless is still sounding nice though. I'm half tempted to gamble a few hundred of it, see if I can get closer to something custom made. I'll end up losing and being pissed, though.

I was half-hoping for that decent laptop, though. Oh well. I'll still have to price things.

Truck stereo. Road trip sounds good, too.

I'd road trip it in a HEARTBEAT if that didn't mean compromising my source of income, which is pretty good at the moment.

The fuck does that mean?

I want something I can record with. So I guess that's the former. Also, I'm going to pack it full of drum tracks and shit, so I can just play whereever. Plug it in, hook it up to my rig's other input, good to go. This is why I want the subwoofer extension cab, though. Make those synth bass drops reeeeeally kick hard.

I would've taken it down to the track, rigged the race and bet double or nothing. I'd've repeated until I was too drunk to walk.

It's sitting in the bank laughing at me.

I can have my dream bass built for about 1500 bucks, I've figured. It all depends on if I want to pull the trigger. I have a knack of blowing money and then suddenly needing some very badly though, so I'll probably wait until I get my tax check before making a gratuitous purchase like that one.
