Art Sandusky Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 I could teach you, but I'd have to charge. I love this song.

5_moves_of_doom Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 I'm listening to this... Fantomas... thing... ... ...Uhhhh... Actually, I've gotten past the point where any music has even a remote chance of weirding me out, and I quite like it (and want more,) but still. Is 20 minutes of record hiss really necessary? And *I* probably find this a lot LESS pretentious than most people. Oh, also listening to the Oysterhead album. Rock on.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Scraping Foetus off the Wheel-"Pigswill" As soon as i have money (ie next month) I'm so getting some foetus. Right now, When Do I Get To Sing My Way by, yes, sparks. You'd be well-served to do so. Nail is definitely my favorite album by these guys. Check out tracks like "Descent into the Inferno" and "Private War," which I'm listening to right now. Thirwell's lyrics are caustic yet sing-song-y in parts, which makes for an infectious kind of evil that permeates the clash of styles that is the instrumentation. Everything from strips of metal beaten with hammers to jazz scat vocals. I love this record. Industrial owes this guy its balls, for making so many careers possible with his own. I've also got Null which has 3 mixes of the same song, and a couple others. Good shit, too, but not quite a Nail.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Cryptopsy - "We Bleed" Holy shit. Someone's just getting into Cryptopsy... Have you heard "Cold Hate, Warm Blood" yet? Might be the best brutal death you'll ever hear.
King Kamala Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Gett Off- Prince. The Diamonds and Pearls era is really underrated. It's no Purple Rain or Sign 'O' The Times. But it's still pretty damn good, although the rap influences can get annoying.
DCMaximo Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 "Nazi Punks Fuck Off" by the Dead Kennedys Equally good as the Napalm Death cover, the strange thing is it came free on a Kerrang! CD, which also features New Found Glory, Blink 182, LTJ, Yellowcard, RBF and Brand New, but, as I'm a sucker for punk-pop goodness, it's a great free gift. It's just this song REALLY sticks out from the rest.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Why on earth would The Dead Kennedys be on THAT disc? They're better than all those bands put together. I might have to listen to Frankenchrist now.
