Story

 

An 11-year-old Indianapolis girl faces legal trouble after witnesses told Indianapolis police she intentionally mistreated a kitten Saturday night by swinging it in the air with a cord tied around its neck.

 

The girl was arrested on a Class A misdemeanor charge of torturing or killing a vertebrate animal. Animal Care and Control officials said in a report that the animal had to be euthanized because of injuries to its neck and its poor health.

 

The incident happened in the 2300 block of North Moreland Avenue around 6:30 p.m. An Indianapolis police officer who arrived to investigate also reported seeing the girl slam the kitten onto a wagon and heard the kitten cry out, according to a report.

A misdemeanor? What fucking bullshit. I hate PETA as much as anyone else, but the scumbags who made this a lesser crime than marijuana possession should be tortured to death, slowly and thoroughly.

 

Sad thing is, the little twat probably won't spend a day in prison. She'll go home to her parents they'll send her off to the nice doctor who will try to figure out what made her so mean. And of course there will be a lawsuit in there somewhere, to the benefit of no one.

Well, 3 years ago, a stray cat chose me. He hung around for 3 days at my front door, until I relented and let him inside. I was never a cat person, but this was one of the best things that ever happened to me.

 

So when I read this story, I was damn angry. I hate the politics of animal groups. But I hate cruelty to animals even more.

 

I wonder about her parents.

 

Ok a suitable punishment…Make her work in a pet shelter. Hopefully she gets bitten, while cleaning the crap out of the cages.

I'm all for people getting punished for their crimes and if it was an adult doing this awful thing then yeah, beat him to within an inch of his life, let him heal up and do it again. As it stands I think that time away from her family and friends along with a strict environment that a juveniule home provides is enough punishment. The psychiatric evaluation thing can be for after she has been punished..I mean we don't just punish her then forget about her allowing her to grow up to do that sort of stuff to humans do we?
