Karnage 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2004 Anyone here following Dino Thunder lately? It really is a huge season for Power Rangers with things such as having Tommy back, an episode that looked back at all the previous Power Rangers incarnations, a homage to their Sentai counterparts and even an evil White Ranger just to name a few. And just last week, they had an awesome episode where Tommy (After a long Hiatus where he was "stuck" in his costume) went into a coma and in it he fought his old Zeo V, White Tiger and Green Ranger selves! And just last week, they had an awesome episode where Tommy (After a long Hiatus where he was "stuck" in his costume) went into a coma and in it he fought his old Zeo V, White Tiger and Green Ranger selves! Missed that ep, because my VCR sucked and got tossed out the window. Anyways to sum it up for me, the Zords aren't as good as NS but the acting is better and a bit more cohesive, Elsa looks better with short hair or as Principal Randall, the Battlizer still sucks, and having "Tommy" there without actually having him there was pretty slick. Oh, and NS Blue Ranger is still hotter than DT Yellow Ranger.
Karnage 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2004 Anyways to sum it up for me, the Zords aren't as good as NS I haven't seen a lot of Ninja Storm, but was there always a different coin every episode they used that lock and drop thing in the Zords? And yes, the NS girl is hotter, but I think that Asian pink ranger was even hotter.

And yes, the NS girl is hotter, but I think that Asian pink ranger was even hotter. Patricia Ja Lee as Cassie, the Pink Turbo/Space Ranger. Turbo was one of the worst seasons (thanks to the Wesley Crusher-like kid) story-wise, but had a good looking quartet of females - Katherine the blonde Aussie, Tanya the ebony babe, Cassie, and the partially Hispanic girl who I can't remember the name of. NS used the "lock and drop" power discs to access ("download") weapons. And yes, I know way more about Power Rangers than is probably healthy.
Golgo 13 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2004 Turbo/In Space was great for the hot chick quotient. There was the villain, as well, who became leather-clad Karone in Lost Galaxy. I was able to keep up with the current season early on, but lost track just before the evil ranger turned good.

Karnage 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2004 Does Tommy look the same as he did back in the day? I mean, does he still have his ponytail and has his face aged much? Well, he cut his hair which is now always spiked and he has a little goatee. It's good unintentional humour.

Guest ICE-MAN Report post Posted September 9, 2004 Dino Thunder has been great on fan service from "Legacy of Power" to "Fighting Spirit". Even "Lost and Found in Translation" was good fan service to people who follow the Sentai counterparts. Now to Turbo, This is the show that got me off of PR alltogether. NS brought me back and DT just reaffirmed my love for the show. As for hottest female ranger, I go with Katherine hands down. With Cassie coming in second. But I find Kira hotter than Tori,I guess because PR has never gone "Alternative" with a female ranger before. And I think the actress who played Tori (Sally Martin) in the new Dell commercial with the Goth girl. I'm probably wrong but it looks like her. Yes, I'm a nerd, why do you ask? AlwaysPissedOff 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2004 Time Force got me back into watching PR again. Just the thought of the leader getting abandoned and getting his ass kicked and the city taken over by the bad guys just broke down my will to resist. Outside of that really crappy season after Time Force, PR has been really fucking awesome oh, and that DT episode where they watched their Japanese counterparts rocked 20 different kinds of ass. starvenger 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2004 Outside of that really crappy season after Time Force, PR has been really fucking awesome oh, and that DT episode where they watched their Japanese counterparts rocked 20 different kinds of ass. Time Force was probably the only good season during the "everyone wears the same clothes all the time" era. The story was actually quite good. Wild Force (the last one filmed in the US) was bad except for 3 eps: the Time Force crossover (2 pts) and Forever Red. Both of which are on the Ultimate Rangers, I think. Lameass vests instead of the Gaoranger jackets. Craptastic catchphrases ("Never geeve up!", "I'm not a kid!"). A Red Ranger who was a piss poor actor (even by Power Ranger standards). The minifro. At least the morphers were a neat idea, although the name - Growl phones - kinda negates that. It makes me glad there was no crossover with Ninja Storm. Although the Japanese crossover was pretty swank.
Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2004 Australia is *still* on repeats of Wild Force. What's the name of the Red Ranger in that one? Whomever he is, he can't act and I fucking hate him. UYI
Karnage 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2004 I hated the Red Wild Force Ranger too. I can't believe they let him of all Red Rangers destroy Serpentra in Forever Red.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2004 Australia is *still* on repeats of Wild Force. What's the name of the Red Ranger in that one? Whomever he is, he can't act and I fucking hate him. UYI The actor's name was Ricardo something, I think. His character was Cole Evans. Wild Force's characters were hideously cut and paste. The smart Asian, the bitchy military chick, the kid out to prove himself, the strong but gentle guy (who shockingly was Hispanic instead of black) and the Tarzan boy-turned-leader. Not that Lightspeed Rescue was much better, mind you. I hated the Red Wild Force Ranger too. I can't believe they let him of all Red Rangers destroy Serpentra in Forever Red. Well, it WAS during Wild Force, and let's face it, Cole needed the rub.

Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2004 I caught an ep of this this year as nothing else was on lol I haven't watched this show since the original version and the first movie. I used to be into this back when I was in 6th grade and haven't watched it since like 95 I still have an original green ranger action figure though I'd rather watch the original, with bad video edits and dub-over voices, funny how I didnt notice until now that it was another show edited with footage of american actors lmao

Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2004 Wild Force's characters were hideously cut and paste. What? Power Rangers feature cut and paste characters?! HOLY SHIT!!!!! Watched it as part of a babysitting routine a long time ago because the neighbor's kid was into it. They changed robots at some point or something, but supposedly that happens every week anymore to sell toys. Go fig.
Guest Ronixis Report post Posted September 12, 2004 Man, the series rocks the twenty diffent types of kickass. Dont hate on Emma (Hayley on DT-Emma is her real name)- she talks to the fanbase and in a Avril type of way shes cute. This series is gonna last longer than the newer shows if they keep the quality up... Everybody hates the new battleizer they have for Connor, but to be honest, A T-rex cant jump that far and you know it cant fly. Oh and it follows a pattern: Andros - Flight Leo - Ground Carter - Flight Wes- Ground Cole - Flight and Ground (His battleziser was a jet) (Memory is bad on the NS Red Ranger) - Flight Connor - Ground

JasonX 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2004 I read that there were rumours that David Yost and Amy Jo were going to make appearances on Dino Thunder. Interesting if true. Yost isn't going to appear. The plan, according to the rumors I've heard was for Zeltrax (Mesagog's top underling) to turn out to be Billy but they couldn't come to terms with a contract for Yost to come back. So they aborted that whole plotline (after toying with the notion of recasting Billy) and Zeltrax became a generic character that Tommy knew from when he was working as a scientist. Golgo 13 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2004 That would be awesome, yet so completely wrong at the same time. I just can't buy fucking Billy as a villain... somehow it's an even bigger stretch than Tommy as a scientist/paleontologist.

starvenger 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2004 I haven't watched Power Rangers in god knows how long, so I gotta ask... What ever happened with Bulk and Skull? Bulk was on the Terra Venture on Lost Galaxy, and eventually came back to earth and opened a juice bar. Skull joined him on that venture. And so far as I know, Paul "Bulk" Schrier is still doing some directing, but he also does computer colouring for comic book The Red Star
