Guest fanofcoils Report post Posted October 14, 2004 I see that Chris got a nipple ring? to prove that he is a person not just another stereotypical New Yorker. I think its time for Decor Sandy to go. She can't even get the job right.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2004 I can't see Raj going this week if the guys lose. He's one of the show's top marketable faces.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2004 The thing is that Trump didn't like Raj upon his initial meeting, and once a notion sticks into Trump's head, it doesn't go away.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2004 Wow, the women actually won, as John pulled a Kwame and got a designer/artist who was kinda out there with her stuff. And then he froze in the boardroom. And then hedged on his selection of people to take into the boardroom. And note to Trump: People take 2 because while the odds of the PM getting fired rises, there is also one less person to try to make a case against and one less person who may try to build a case against you. So strategically, it makes sense. But it's all about the numbers with Trump, isn't it?
Alro 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2004 John had nothing to say (or so it was edited to seem) to Trump when he asked why Andy was in the boardroom and not the other guy responsible for pricing. No matter how it was edited, pricing was the issue and John should have been involved. Trump made a good decision this week. George is right in his assesment of Andy; he's raw and young, which will allow Trump to mold Andy exactly like he wants Andy to be. I've thought that from the beginning and that is one of the reasons I'm pulling for him.

Guest M. Harry Smilac Report post Posted October 15, 2004 I hate Andy and it almost put me off the show when Trump said in one of the earlier episodes he looks at him as a pet project.Nice and biased there. The kid deserved to be in the boardroom because all he did was cut out linen and glue it which a 2nd grader could do in an arts & craft class. Trumps an idiot anyways.John was cool but a bit flakey. He really screwed the pooch when he tried to scheme with the guys before the board room and got a general consensus that Andy should go from ppl who ending up dropping his name instead like the exempt brooklyn doofus. Alro 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2004 The $250,000 question is: would you then take the risk and put him in charge of one of your companies right off the bat? My answer would be no. I wouldn't give him total control right off the bat. With a little supervision he would be the ideal candidate. There are no bad habits that other companies have taught him. He's idealistic and motivated because he is so young. Yes, putting him in charge completely would be risky, but surround him with the right people for a little while and you've got a great hire. I believe it would pay off more in the long run.

Alro 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2004 Call me on what? Saying giving him total control from the start is a bad idea and turning right around to say I would hire him?
starvenger 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2004 Basically, you're saying you wouldn't give him control, but you'd give him the job, which gives him the control. You see the potential, and he'd be perfect for the future, but you're hiring him for the here and now. It's contradictory, and hedging slightly, and it'd drive George nuts. Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2004 The problem is that Trump is not there when they do the tasks. He can really only go by what George and Carolyn tell him and the Boardroom. Trump watches the footage, at least the important parts. I think that has a lot to do with why the boardroom really goes on so long. We don't see it, but I'm sure he does. The room has a big TV in the wall you rarely see for a reason. What George and Carolyn do is probably make note of which actual people are doing better and which people are dragging the team down. Having rewatched that episode, if I was Pamela, I would have taken three and picked the last two plus Ivana. Ivana didn't want to take the price because she was "too busy" writing a cheesy script with Elizabeth to look at the price, even though that is right up the alley of her advertised forte. Mini Stacy did not want to actually give Pam a price point, she simply kept "suggesting" what the price would be but never actually gave a straight answer, and of course Maria said that talking to people is her thing and then looked like she was taking speedballs in the practice run before the cameras went on. Manager John was so uninvolved with this task that even my father (who has watched them all) couldn't remember who was Manager. EDIT: Yahoo bonus footage shows Raj wearing a Hefner style smoking jacket while making advances on all the models. Meanwhile, everyone else on Mosaic is hauling 30lbs a piece of shit to the hotel and storms in to find Raj chatting it up with models. One of the guys (Kelly?) expressed that he was pissed off to see it, and surely others on the team were unhappy, too (except for idiot manager John, who declared before the show that "I can't think of anyone here who didn't pull their own weight." Yeah, John, except for YOU and Raj) Firing prediction: No team predictions because of the reshuffle, but the footage of next week's episode shows Trump laying the smackdown on somebody. "I don't like people who exaggerate!!" so I bet it's Raj.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2004 I heard that the boardrooms actually go on for about 2 hrs. It just seems like Andy may not be doing any work (which others people vouched for) but since Andy's never done anything wrong Trump thought it was the wrong mistake. Am I the only one who thinks that Trump dubs over some of his boardroom lines? His voice just sounds different sometimes

bob_barron 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2004 I don't pick up on it in Survivor but I always notice Trump's voice sounds a lot different in the boardroom. It's distracting and they should find a way to fix it

It's like his tone suddently changes 3 times in the same sentence. Oh yeah, it's Ronco infomercial-level bad. Bad enough that I think it's done intentionally. Yahoo bonus footage shows Raj wearing a Hefner style smoking jacket while making advances on all the models. Meanwhile, everyone else on Mosaic is hauling 30lbs a piece of shit to the hotel and storms in to find Raj chatting it up with models. Yeah, John, except for YOU and Raj) Of course, Raj could've brought stuff over previous to that. But as we saw last week, he's not afraid to hit on the ladies. Firing prediction: No team predictions because of the reshuffle, but the footage of next week's episode shows Trump laying the smackdown on somebody. "I don't like people who exaggerate!!" so I bet it's Raj. Raj tends to extrapolate more than exaggerate (He probably loves the sound of his own voice) so I'm more inclined to think it's a woman. Probably Lil Stacy - remember, she was "afraid for her life" because Stacie J was all "let's shake the magic 8 ball".

You see the potential, and he'd be perfect for the future, but you're hiring him for the here and now. It's contradictory, and hedging slightly, and it'd drive George nuts. I do realize that I'm doing that, but I see it as a long term investment. I would much rather shape somebody the way I want rather than have to break old habits. He wouldn't be bad as long he had someone to answer to for a period of time until I'm confident that he can go it alone. Either way, Trump will do what Trump will want to do. When it comes down to it, George is just another yes man.

Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2004 Either way, Trump will do what Trump will want to do. When it comes down to it, George is just another yes man. More like "Either way, Burnett will do what Burnett will want to do." I don't know if you notice the small print alongside the credits, but Trump is "consulted" by the production team. No wonder Bill is just killing time waiting for the phone to ring. If I was being "convinced" by a TV team of who to hire and who not to hire, I wouldn't care for the person I wound up with either. Stacy and Jennifer had the same problem; they couldn't see that they contributed nothing and were ever wrong. All three had good reason to be fired. Stacy did jack shit. Wes wasn't that great of a leader. Andy lost the cell phone. All were very good reason to fire someone, but Trump (and Mark Burnett and company) finally saw how worthless Stacy was and she got the ax. Even after she was fired, she couldn't see the reasons why she was fired. I hate people like that. Take some damn responsibility.

More like "Either way, Burnett will do what Burnett will want to do." I don't know if you notice the small print alongside the credits, but Trump is "consulted" by the production team. Well, he's also consults Carolyn and George (or the not-George of the week) so I'm not all that surprised about that. Still, couldn't you see Burnett smacking his head on a wall when Trump fired Bradford? Random observations - Sandy, Maria and Lil Stacy seemed ticked off that they were told to go to the other team. Raj, Kevin and Chris - not so much. Did it contribute to Mosaic losing? Maybe. - Wes all but said that Maria would be back in the boardroom if she wasn't exempt. Will she take the hint? Hell no. - Andy leads next week, and teasers seem to imply that he may fuck something up. But Burnett teasers tend to do that. Like how Raj "annoyed George" with his hedging but then backed up his reasoning. - Who do you want kicked off first - Maria or Ivana? - Six of Nine is exempt next week, and good for her. She seems to be the only woman worth a damn this time around.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2004 More thoughts: - Lil Stacy has a website. If you hire her to talk, you'll probably get your money's worth. - "I hate people who exaggerate". I think this is about a 6 on the unintentional comedy scale - The Trump/Cuban "rivalry". Trump: "When I initially called you to congratulate you on 'The Benefactor' - little did you or I realize how disastrous and embarrassing it would turn out to be for you." Cuban: "I wish Donald nothing but the best on 'Apprentice 2' and I hope it does just as well as his casino does."
Mik 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2004 Looking at that website made me die a little bit inside. Especially the photo gallery. As for Trump/Cuban... is there anything sillier than two billionaires fighting over who is the better businessman? Who is the first to claim a larger penis?
