*Still prefers "Your Mother's Got A Penis"*

However, don't mistake them for the Welsh hip-hop act Nobsta Nutz and Lews Tewns who are utter shit (except for the lyric "I witnessed a Greek tragedy yesterday/Lews Tewns dropped his kebab in a gutter in Llanelli", which is obviously genius).

GLC are the bomb, going to see the bastards in October. And DC your right Your Mothers Got A Penis is easily better than Guns Don't Kill People.

I still loved the way that the Sun "exclusively revealed" that GLC were, in fact, taking the piss and aren't real gangsta rappers, just incase anyone though they were the second coming of the Wu Tang Clan. Look at them for fucks sake

"Something, something, something, I'll smash your fucking car". Fucking hell, yes I do. It was "The Mosh Song" by something like the Townhill Mob, or the Uplands Crew or something similar to one of those. It was huge in Swansea when I was at University there...the guy doing the student bar quiz once played it about 6 times in a row.

EDIT: Apparently it was by a guy called Paul Allen and it's described as "the best song written about Swansea", which, lets face it, isn't hard.

Actually i think Wales has the potential to be the next rap capital of the world. I mean we have our share of ghettos (council estates) i bet that the Gurnos estate in Merthyr is way scaryer than the Bronx. We may not have Bling bling rappers driving around in their fancy cars but dammit we have boy racers cruising in their kitted up corsas.

The ONLY problem may well be that the Welsh accent doesn't work within the confines of the rap genre, even if your lyrics are as good as these gems:

"You've seen that film 9 1/2 Weeks?/

I got a full English breakfast and I dumped it on her bumcheeks/

Well she had an arse like Camarthen/

I'm meeting her later, I can't wait, I'm fucking starving"

(from "Hungry Man" by Nobsta Nutz and Lews Tewns)

Although you Brits are ghetto in some places, you'll never take rap away from us. For one, I can't take anyone talking about 40s, blunts or hos seriously with that accent of yours...

You're right, UK rap has always suffered from that, but I will say Dizzee Rascal is the exception. Having listened to his new album, its blows away anything i've heard from the US recently. He's not using US slang, and not to sound corny but he's keeping it real by using the slang he grew up with, and having grown up in London myself I can say he is the voice of the streets here. Only problem is that he'll rap about somewhere like Bethnal Green and most Americans will be thinking "what the fuck is he on about?".

But then he uses a London accent, I really can't imagine a Welsh guy rapping and it fitting in.

I like Quarishi song "Stick em up" so how do these groups compare to them? Are there any UK rappers that perform with a gypsy accent like in the movie Snatch?

Dynamite Hack and Bloodhound Gang need to bitch smack GLC for sounding like cartoon characters from a Scooby Doo Mystery Movie.
