Guest tnamark Report post Posted September 15, 2004 Once Noble's 90 day window is up, TNA should sign him to team with Kash. They would make a kickass and hilarious team.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2004 I would rather see Noble vs AJ Styles in the main event.

Guest ally mccoist Report post Posted September 15, 2004 Styles/Noble. I'd like to see Styles/Noble with the world title on the line, but that ain't happening any time soon. EDIT: And am I dreaming here or did his name used to be Jamie Knoble in WCW?
Magus 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2004 They'll definitely pick him up since he's now ex-WWE. But that's not a bad thing, as Noble's pretty good. He could do a lot with the X Division, or hell, he's a WWE reject that I wouldn't mind seeing pushed in the main event.

Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2004 After being booted from the Jung Dragons, Noble wrestled under his real name, Jamie Knoble. I've always spelled it that way, since it's how his name is fucking spelled. Also, in TNA, he can use his SWEEEEEET-ass Tombstone.

Guest The Decadent Slacker Report post Posted September 15, 2004 Noble/Kash have tore up my EWR tag title scene for a while. I'm for them, but i could care less. Noble/Styles or Noble/Daniels interest me more, as far as singles stuff.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2004 Noble vs Petey Williams would be a perfect X division title match.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2004 How so, raza? Petey just does spots, and Knoble tends to work the mat a lot. If anything, I think Knoble/Daniels would be a better match than just about any Knoble/TNA wrestler combination, since Daniels can work the mat with the best of them. And wow, Zack, why don't you just kill me now.
Guest ally mccoist Report post Posted September 15, 2004 Noble/Kash have tore up my EWR tag title scene for a while. Heh I had them team up in my EWR game as well. Difference being I was playing as WCW and they were jobbers. Had to keep it realistic you know.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2004 Remember the Dean Malenko vs Rey Mysterio Jr. matches from the early days of Nitro? Noble vs Williams can be the same thing with Noble working the mat and the 1000 variations of the armbar vs the exciting spot machine. If Jamie Noble is as good as everybody claims that he is, then this student of the game who is equal parts Benoit & Malenko will be able to carry his opponet as his mentors have in the past. What is the worst case scenario, Benoit vs RVD from Summerslam 2002?

If anything, I think Knoble/Daniels would be a better match than just about any Knoble/TNA wrestler combination, since Daniels can work the mat with the best of them. And wow, Zack, why don't you just kill me now. Petey is not all spots. You can tell that in his match vs Teddy vs Jack, he was totally unfortable. I wouldn't call Petey "spotty", I would call Petey a fast paced worker, unless you are only looking at his TNA stuff. His match with Shelley at Stylin in Summertime was a nice little technical encounter. Petey can definatly work the mat. Daniels is already over, too. No need for Noble vs Daniels. How about Noble vs Shelley. Shelley could definatly get over in TNA, thanks to Noble.
Guest Staravenger Report post Posted September 15, 2004 WWE released Jamie Noble? NOO~! They just dropped one of their best workers. Fucking morons... Edit: After a quick visit to some pop-up over-ran site, I found out it was a nuetral parting.
Guest Donners Report post Posted September 16, 2004 Really? According to another pop-up rampage site, he was "terminated" rather than released by mutual agreement. Either way, he could be a boon for TNA in 90 days. Shame Jimmy Yang isn't available ATM.
Guest Staravenger Report post Posted September 16, 2004 I forgot Jimmy Yang was signed with WWE...thats really horrible.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2004 unless you are only looking at his TNA stuff. If a worker can't impress me in one company, I'm not going to go search for their work for other companies. The fact that none of Petey's TNA matches have been better than **, and have been nothing more than either poorly timed and/or poorly executed spots, makes me not give two fucks about him. Guest Staravenger Report post Posted September 16, 2004 ^---what he said. When someone botches as many spots that they connect with, has one of the most unrealistic move in history that blows away the "shadow of a doubt" factor, and can't have good matches with the best TNA workers, there's something wrong. razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2004 I still would watch a Petey Williams match over a Club Kid Jeffy Hardy one. People spotfest is not a bad thing..........its only bad when Hardy does it.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2004 Oh, tell me about it. One of my favorite matches to date is still the RVD/Sabu Stretcher Match, and I loved a lot of the early X-Division spotfests. But there's a difference between being a good spot-based wrestler, and being just a spot-based wrestler. I'd put Williams in the same category as Quiet Storm, in the sense that it's obvious he knows what he's doing with a lot of the spots, but he just doesn't offer much outside of being able to do them. Call me old-fashioned, call me sheep, or whatever, but I like a wrestler that makes you interested in the match on more than just a "wow, that's a nice move" level. Which is, of course, why I'm not a fan of most wrestlers.

DCMaximo 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2004 Before everyone gets too excited about Noble in TNA, remember back in January when everyone was getting so excited about Spanky vs Sabin/Daniels/Styles or how Kanyon would be the next opponent for JJ? TNA seem to have really cut down on their ex-WWE guys, so especially if you look at the "WWE Departure Thread" in the WWE Folder and realise how few have joined TNA, so he may well not end up in TNA at all. You want people to spend money in the hopes that a guy isn't quite as shitty as he has been in front of their eyes? If you do not bother to do shit in your largest stage, don't expect a soul to spend the effort to search out your lesser-known stuff. -=Mike ...Chris Daniels managed to work a kick-ass match in the WWF. Ditto AJ Styles. Why can't Petey to shit in TNA?

Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2004 ...TNA seem to have really cut down on their ex-WWE guys... Which is especially stupid considering Noble and Spanky are a whole lot better than Williams, Kazarian, Shane, Dutt, D-Ray, and Shark Boy combined. Well...maybe not Shane and Kazarian's solid heel schticks (my only complaint with either of them is that TNA pushes them as X-Division, when they're not, really), but work-wise? Yeah. And when the only WWE cast-off you get is Jeff Hardy? You know, as in "I haven't had a match worthy of being rewatched since my last match with Rob Van Dam in 2001" Jeff Hardy? As in "none of my matches are any good without a 'hardcore' environment" Jeff Hardy? Yeah. Also, natey, I'm glad you don't give two fucks about me. It's so much fun proving valid points when the other person doesn't care about what you say. I mean, me and Mike did it all the time at TNS, and had to do it quite a few times here.
