MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2004 The Ravens game was a really good game overall, although Boller coughing up the ball twice didn't help much. Seeing Boller throw the ball away or run with it was a pretty good sign of his improvement. Hymes stepping up was a plus. Next week - MNF Ravens vs Chiefs...should be interesting since you know KC will be desperate to avoid going 0-4.

razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2004 How long was that last FG attempt by Longwell?
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted September 26, 2004 Longwell tried a 52-yarder there and bonked off the crossbar. I don't think I would have gone for the 4th down there, Longwell is usually good enough to make that.

Guest Flyboy Report post Posted September 26, 2004 Will they take Leinart (if he comes out) or Mike Williams.. it's early, but hmmm... it's never too early to start wondering.
Mik 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2004 I have Javon Walker and Peyton Manning on my fantasy team. I'm thinking I got this one wrapped up. 49 and 47 points right now, respectively.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted September 26, 2004 I'm surprised any of you know who Javon Walker is.
Mik 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2004 Why is that? I think he's a pretty big name WR...he did come out of Florida State.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted September 26, 2004 Walker's a big name WR? Since when? I'm surprised because the Packers don't get much love, they're frequently expected to lose and disappoint. Hell even in that highlight of the season so far, EVERY SINGLE PERSON picked Carolina to beat Green Bay in every single pregame show I saw. And when the Packers do get love, it's all BRETT FARVE OMGZ and pretty much ignore every other good player on that team..
Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted September 26, 2004 You can stop right now with your phantom GB hate. There 1-1 and are losing right now. There good, not great and wont go anywhere in the playoffs.

Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted September 26, 2004 I cant even comprehend a freaking Packer fan being hated on. Thats like saying Skins fans are hated. No one ever says anything bad about them and they are a storied franchise. Wow.
MrRant 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2004 Looks like Seattle will end up shutting out the 49ers. The will mean the Seahawks have held 3 consecutive opponents to 7 points or less for the first time in their history.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted September 26, 2004 I'm not saying Packer fans are hated, I'm saying there's an amazing amoutn of naysayers for the potential the team has. Keep in mind this is a one-score game right now midway through the 4th quarter in the Colts' home opener... A team which many have to go and some to win the Super Bowl. I'm not saying Green Bay is the best team in the league (if such a thing exists), but they certainly deserve a lot more credit than I see given to them. Guest complete confusion Report post Posted September 26, 2004 I've seen The Redskins get shit on constantly. Maybe in the top 10 of the most hated teams out there. Packers always have been a hated team, some people love their "small town" aura...some despise them for that principle alone.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2004 The Packers are hated because they are the #1 rival of four different teams (Vikings, Bears, Lions & Bucs). Consequently, fans of those teams despise the Packers. Cowboy & 49ers fans aren't too fond of them either.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2004 Important note on San Fran's 0 points. Before this week's game, they had 420 consecutive games where they were not held scoreless.

Other than Spurier, the Skins flew under the radar in "hate" for along time. of course not, and I apolgize for mis-reading the story. The media isn't going to hate on Gibbs and when Gibbs left, the team was rendered meaningless so the media never focused on it. The Redskins got alot of backlash and media criticism ever since Wonder Boy Synder took over.

strummer 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 Well, the Giants look to be going into a lion's den next week in Green Bay. Packers coming off 2 straight losses and already lost their home opener against the Bears. We'll see if the Giants are really worth anything next week in GB, I can't see them keeping it close. Dominating win today against Cleveland, but the Browns are just horrible now. Big 2 games coming up against GB and Dallas, both on the road.
