SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 - The plan right now is to turn Hurricane heel. WWE management figured that the character no longer had any potential as a face and feel that he would make an interesting heel. credit: 411 Will Ric Flair get involved in the angle? Wouldn't it be better just to give him a different gimmick if he turns heel? Will they wait until they do a show in Florida before doing the full turn? Will he feud with Rosey? *shudder* Is this the end of merchandising pay-offs for Shane Helms? Tune in to Raw every Monday... ...same Hurri-time! ....same Hurri-channel! HollywoodSpikeJenkins 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 Instead of having a turn that makes sense after the Flair match, they wait a month (granted, he had nose surgery) and just turn him out of the blue? Bleh.
MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 I hear the Shane Helms masks were ringing up as "HuHHicane" merchandise so I doubt Helms was making .02 off of them. Hey, that's what I heard now. And here's hoping they pull a similiar turn w/ him as Jericho had in WCW where he apologizes every week for his reprehensible the previous week before losing his match and his temper afterwards. Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 Rosey should have turned heel instead. That new outfit of his reeks of evilness!
Guest Big Daddy V1 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 I saw this happening as of last Raw when he took the mask back from that little kid as he pretended to cry and his mom pretended to freak out.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted September 27, 2004 I saw this happening as of last Raw when he took the mask back from that little kid as he pretended to cry and his mom pretended to freak out. I think we were supposed to see it coming. That wasn't exactly a covert move.
Australian Pride 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 I'd love to see him cheap shot the Rock during his next 'surprise' appearance, and then trash talk about Rock for the next month or two so, and then Rock shows up again and throws out the challenge - Rock/Hurricane at WM21! Won't happen, but would be nice. Better than a feud with Rosey, that's for sure.
Vyce 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 They really need to give him a new costume to go along with the turn. Something with a lot more black, to reflect the new "dark" nature of Hurricane. The comic geek in me would like to see them model it after Parallax, but that's probably way to inside for 99.9999% of the audience. You know, this heel turn is just a few weeks too late. If he had been turned around this time in August, they could have had him come out these past few weeks and laugh evilly at the devastation that has been wrought in Florida and the southern coast. RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 They should turn him into a Crunk-lovin superhero called the "Right Thurricane". In other words, this is a retarded idea. Hurricane has a ton of potential as a face, they never even tried to introduce a "serious" villain to oppose him.

The potential of this has to have Gerwitz wanking off hard.
Open the Muggy Gate 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 I might be the only one who would mark if he came out in a costume that made him look like the Super Shredder. If Gerwitz did that, I might actually say something nice about him... and I don't think anyone has ever done that on TSM.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 Did the Green Latern ever turn heel in the comics?
Vyce 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 Did the Green Latern ever turn heel in the comics? Yes. Hal Jordan "turned heel" and became "Parallax", hence my reference in the earlier post. A Parallax themed costume for Hurricane would rule all.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 Did the Green Latern ever turn heel in the comics? Well, there is Parallax.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 Sorry, didn't know since I don't read Green Latern comics, thanks for answering though!
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 I could honestly see him becoming the new fourth Evolution member, rounding them out. They could (if the WWE used, what's that...common sense) still play up the role Flair had in it where he could basically start doing the "I told you so" routine as Hurricane grows frustrated, then turns. I don't think a full on Rosey feud would happen. I think Chubbs is going to be primed for Simon Dean's debut.
Open the Muggy Gate 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 I could picture "Sugar" Shane Helms in Evolution. That could work out real well. They just need to give him the Vertebreaker, and all will be right with the world.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 Can't see that happening. #1 it breaks WWE protocol when it comes to movesets these days. #2 it would overshadow his lordship.

All I said was I could picture it. HHH would defintely not allow this, and Vince wouldn't allow them to drop someone on their head unless they happened to be named the Undertaker. Hey, anybody remember Raven's idea to turn Hurricane heel? http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?showtopic=41402 Yep, as soon as I saw this thread I thought of that bit from Raven's shoot. It might be me, but I like the idea of him just dropping the superhero character altogether and becoming Sugar Shane Helms again. I reckon he'd be entertaining as the smart ass heel. One way i'd like to see him stay as the Hurricane though, i'd love to see him reunited with Mighty Molly, but as super villians instead of super heroes, goodness knows Molly isn't doing much of late either and could use the boost too. Guest SteveyP93 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 Yeah, that "S.H.I.T." stuff was so fucking hilarious. Or how about that time that he got stuck trying to do the Superman outfit change in the phone booth?? LOL2004~! He's a horrible actor. Corny as hell. Which is half the reason that I hate him, the other half of the reason being that he's an awful fat slob who can't work and gets by on two moves that show his "amazing ability for a morbidly obese man". He's like a half a notch above Mabel. Fuck Rosey, he can join Jamal in the unemployment line.
