Krankor Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 I'm likely dropping after this season. I left my team to rot at various points, and it seemed to lose its fun. My mouth is watering over the prospect of getting Kidd or Iverson next year.
Lightning Flik Posted March 28, 2005 Author Report Posted March 28, 2005 I'll likely be the same as Al, dropping out of the NBA Keeper League. Assuming I can get soemone to take over the role of being Commish and looking after the league. Cause I wasn't very good Commish. Sure, lots of real life stuff happened, yet I should've handed off to someone in the season. If anyone would like to step up to the plate, please inform me.
Krankor Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 I'd be down with being a commish. I've done it before in past NBA leagues and I'm a commish in one league this year. So I'm down with the responsibility.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 I have to do some quick math, but unless Hughes or Evans get a block, Gotham will finish 5-1-1, where as I finish 6-1 (no ties all year, yay!) but Im thinking Im missing the playoffs by a half a damn game. yep..in fact I missed the playoffs by 1/2 game or .004 winning percentage. D A M N once again my playoff hopes are dashed on the last freaking day of the regular season. Damn, you're actually going to end up with more wins on the season than Gotham Harlequins...As a team in the consolation bracket I challenge you to a duel! That is if I can make it out of the first round…My team has been pretty terrible and has lost 5 out of the last 6 weeks. What did me in was I lost to Gotham last week 5-2, mainly cause I wasn't able to fix my rosters for Monday and I lost like 3 or 4 games that were pretty big stats. If I had only lost 4-3... As it is, I cant really get all up for the "NIT" playoffs..but I'll try. I dont think I've made the playoffs in any fantasy league by TSM yet...so I really dont know why I keep trying (holds out hopes for the baseball league this year..). One of my big problems (as evidenced by my league leading number of moves) is that I cant seem to keep a player too long when they are in a slump (I had Quentin Richardson at the start of the season for instance and he had a slow start)..I also should have kept Dwayne Wade last year..worst move ever not keeping him.
razazteca Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 I its my turn to complain again.... Last week I had a good lead against the KG +1 with a sweet lead the first few days of the week something like 6-1 then mid-week the shit hits the fan when McInnis becomes the cancer of the Cavs, Fucking Wally Szerback gives Wallace the DQ finish sending him to IL, Jones decides to start shooting wild 3 pointers, a few days later I lose 1-5-1 thus killing any hope of making the #6 spot.
Cuban Linx Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 Kevin Garnett + 7 crushes all opposition. *sits back and enjoys 1st round bye*
Brett Favre Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 My keepers for the H2H League (CW Soldiers): 1. Steve Nash 2. Mike Bibby 3. Shawn Marion
Lightning Flik Posted March 29, 2005 Author Report Posted March 29, 2005 Alright, Krankor and Alf both want the job of Commish. So you people get to vote on which person you would rather have as the new Commish of the H2H NBA league. Have at it.
Lightning Flik Posted March 31, 2005 Author Report Posted March 31, 2005 Ok. Since I only have one vote cause apparently you people are lazy here's your new commish: Alfdogg. Enjoy your new found job Alf.
razazteca Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 Hopefully it will last longer than the Alf talk show.

alfdogg Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 BTW, does this mean you two are dropping from the WDI league, as well?
Lightning Flik Posted April 4, 2005 Author Report Posted April 4, 2005 Yeah more than likely, I'm sticking to just a baseball league or two and probably just h2h league football here. Maybe get into one hockey league if hockey ever resumes.
Agent_Bond34 Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 I am definitely coming back next year.... As for my keepers, I only have one set in stone, and that's Tim Duncan. The other two, I'll determine at the end of the season.
nogoodnick Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 If anyone drops out I would love to get into your league.
alfdogg Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 Absolutely. For the record, Steviekick said he's out too, which means Steve Francis and Brad Miller are also up for grabs next season.
Agent_Bond34 Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 Next year's draft is looking pretty nice... Kidd, Iverson, Francis, Miller... I like it. Are we doing that Madness Draft deal we did last year, or are we just getting right down to business with the first round of the draft?
alfdogg Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 Yes, we're doing the Madness round again, as it was for new people and guys who have no/less than 3 keepers to make everything fair. I'm only keeping 1 player, and we'll have at least 3 new teams if more people ask for them.
Agent_Bond34 Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 Any other changes that you're making for next year? stat changes, roster changes? Just asking in advance...
alfdogg Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 The main two things I was thinking of was adding the third bench spot back in and shortening the waiver period.
Cuban Linx Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 One week left until my triumphant victory.
alfdogg Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 Congrats to Will Scarlet aka White Tigers. A winner is you.
razazteca Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 Sux losing on the final week *cough* let me clear my throat *cough*
Guest Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 I would like to join this league if it is possible as well.
Agent_Bond34 Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 Kenyon Martin and Ben Gordon are my other two keepers.
alfdogg Posted July 9, 2005 Report Posted July 9, 2005 Well, the league is still nearly four months away and I've already fucked up. Last year's draft was ordered by what place we finished in the year before...and of course I didn't think to keep track of what place we finished in this year. All I remember is that I missed the playoffs and I want to say Cuban had the best regular season record. Any suggestions?
Krankor Posted July 9, 2005 Report Posted July 9, 2005 Shit. I know I missed the playoffs too. My team was filled with injuries. I'm sure the teams that finished in the top 4 still remember who they were.
