teke184 Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 You can't pull two new active-duty divisions out of your ass in less than a year or two due to training limits. Also, it would be VERY hard to double our Special Forces quickly without watering down the training they receive. Right now, those groups contain the best of the best... If you take twice as many people, you're more likely to get fill-ins than the quality you're looking for.
Guest MikeSC Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Kerry actually pulled the pandering game well there, and used at least as much charm as Bush. Yikes, bringing up domestic stuff here? -=Mike
Steviekick Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Please tell me he isn't trying to slam Bush on Darfur. Oh, this is such a horrible plan, John. And, do we ask how Kerry gets all of these new troops? -=Mike ....a wizard? Maybe Kerry like RTS games and forgets that you can't just create troops. -=Mike He's previously said increasing pay/benefits for being in the military. He should have said it here, in front of a large audience. -=Mike Totally agree with you on that one.
JoeDirt Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 I wonder what they're going to play up for comedy from this debate.
Guest TheLastBoyscout Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 "That he's done it more than I have, in terms of presidency" It's a throwaway comment, but DAMN that sounded stupid. Bush has sounded like a Special Ed student about a hundred times tonight.
GreatWhiteNope Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Now they laugh and hold hands and bring up the Chewbacca Defense.
Steviekick Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 I wonder what they're going to play up for comedy from this debate. Propably the stuff where Bush gets angry.
Guest MikeSC Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 I wonder what they're going to play up for comedy from this debate. Bush's look at the start of his answers. -=Mike ...Kerry's "my position has been consistent" is something he might not want to say anymore...
teke184 Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Two lies right there... "I've never wavered" and "My position has always been consistent."
Guest GreatOne Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Uh, Kerry you're not really closing up the best here.................
Justice Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 ... Kerry is gonna get fucked up. That was not a good rebuttal at all.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 I'm worried a bit for Kerry about the media's after-coverage about this. The tone might be "Bush bashes flip flops!!!!!" and could ignore Kerry's valid disputes of those claims.
Steviekick Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Now they laugh and hold hands and bring up the Chewbacca Defense. "And you can't proliferate nuclear weapons without dilithium crystal! And we all know how our warp engine program is crapping out!"
CBright7831 Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 I should have watched one of my Star Wars DVDs tonight.
teke184 Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 "The New War"? I hope Bush brings up "The New Soldier", one of the OTHER books Kerry has written.
Guest MikeSC Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Wasn't Kerry's book about the yakuza? -=Mike
Guest GreatOne Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Oh my fucking god, did he just mention 'New War'? Is 'Winter Soldiers' next?
Justice Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Now they laugh and hold hands and bring up the Chewbacca Defense. "And you can't proliferate nuclear weapons without dilithium crystal! And we all know how our warp engine program is crapping out!" That's Star TREK, dude.
Guest TheLastBoyscout Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 If you're concerned about Homeland Security why would you vote for a man who's administration was unable to stop 9/11 before it happened?

The tone might be "Bush bashes flip flops!!!!!" and could ignore Kerry's valid disputes of those claims. Very true. Kerry has brought up a bunch of great points that hopefully will get brought up.
Guest MikeSC Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 If you're concerned about Homeland Security why would you vote for a man who's administration was unable to stop 9/11 before it happened? Seriously, stop with this idiotic crap. I would be more than happy to beat you silly with the facts, but this is not the place. -=Mike

BOTH men have, I believe.

And we all know how our warp engine program is crapping out!" That's Star TREK, dude. Which makes it a valid Chewbacca defense as THAT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE! Look at the monkey! Look at the silly monkey!

GreatWhiteNope Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Kerry: We will do all these things...because I have a plan. Plans change, John.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 NUKE YOU LAR #3! Drink again, baby.
Guest TheLastBoyscout Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 "Increased funding for nuclear proliferation... 35 percent...I agree." WHAT?????
Justice Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 If you're concerned about Homeland Security why would you vote for a man who's administration was unable to stop 9/11 before it happened? Because he was a year in office dealing with an incredibly divisive Congress. Why didn't Clinton get Osama Bin Laden? Naw, let's forget about that. Bush is stumbling again. Get back up and finish strong.
