I think the Dodgers need to watch Tom Emanski's "Defensive Drills." It's endorsed by Fred McGriff, you know.

OK, I love how everyone is predicting a tough series here but, HOW DOES ANYONE EXPECT THE DODGERS TO SHUTDOWN THE CARDINALS OFFENSE FOR 3 OF 5 GAMES?!

Sorry for the caps, but really, the Cardinals are so winning the World Series this year. Good pitching and just a monstrous lineup.

Oh great now I have those commercials stuck in my head. BACK TO BACK TO BACK ahhhhhhhhhh. At least Fred McGriff is cool. Anyway time for me to leave class in computer lab and go to evil auditing class in a room without computers or a wireless network for me to exploit :( Go Cardinals, win by 20. And go Red Sox in the next game.

Hey Dodgers! Try hitting them past the infield.

Hey Cardinals! Try keeping them in the park!

Time for the Dodgers miracle comeback...in 3 innings.

But neither Shawn Chacon or the Giants bullpen is here to give them the lead.

"Just place the bets, Paul".

They portrayed Rose as a total scumbag:

-Cheating on Wife

-Never paying anyone back

-When the wife came to the hotel and suspected Pete was cheating (he was), Pete first put the girl in his buddy's hotel room and the wife came and yelled at the FRIEND.

-Blowing money left and right.

-Using money to save marriage.

-Betting on own team.

-Watching his bookie/other scoreboards instead of paying attention to his team. At one point a player strikes out, Pete doesn't even notice him walking back to the dugout.

-Lying to his assistant staff.

-Blowing off other gambling friends when he didn't "need" them anymore.

Totally one-sided...

CMON DODGERS. MAKE IT INTERESTING.

Indeed the Dodgers make it interesting as Cora's triple scores Bradley. 7-2.

I missed the first 2 innings because of class but came back in time to watch the Cardinals offense explode. That's a sick lineup.

Good game by the Cards today. I just saw the rotation lineup today. Frankly, I am not thrilled Matt Morris is starting Game 3. He does not pitch as well on the road. Assume you are winning Game 1 and go high risk/high reward with Morris in Game 2.

Yeah, 6.02 ERA on the road? I'll pass, thanks.

I think that this gets down to an issue of player loyalty; Morris was probably expected to be the No. 1 starter in the playoffs but, since he obviously doesn't have the stuff for it, LaRussa put him into Game 3 so that he could potentially clinch the series and get a confidence boost.

Matt's problems are primarily based on inconsistent mechanics and the fact that his head hasn't been in the game fully ever since Darryl Kile died. When he's on, he's one of the best pitchers out there, but when he's not on (or he falls behind), he's about as bad as you can get. If the Dodgers hang one or two on him early in Game 3, we're doomed.

As a Cardinal fan, I'd love to see him stick around and straighten things out, but I think there's better opportunities for him out there (like, say, the Mets and Rick Peterson).

Atlanta won, now St. Louis needs to clobber the Dodgers and keep me alive in post season survivor.

No need to worry, Dodgers have the Asshole going. And he has awful post season numbers. ;)

Dodgers are already looking better in less than an inning of play than they did on Tuesday. Interesting to hear Joe Buck having to be impartial when announcing a game that involves the team he announces for during the season.
