RavishingRickRudo Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 BIG POP! "Your question was about Jobs...?"
snuffbox Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 Blame the economy on 9/11 - damn he' smart. 9-11 did have some negative effect on the economy...but using it as an excuse is not a particularly good idea...
teke184 Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 "We have a plan". Really, Edwards? First I heard of it... [/sarc]
Guest MikeSC Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 He simply told you where to go for a lengthy discussion of all of the problems. You know --- that factcheck.org site. If given a question about Halliburton, he'd be able to respond. -=Mike He had 30 seconds to tell me his claims about Halliburton. Instead of using that 30 seconds the best way he could, he chose to harp on the fact that this was a damned Democratic smokescreen - then directed me to go to factcheck.com, which is a false address anyway. Not exactly too strong there. 30 seconds? As he said, it'll take more than 30 seconds to respond to ALL of the baseless charges. And, heaven forbid he mistakes .com for .org. -=Mike
RavishingRickRudo Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 +3 on the Job Creation +1 on the outsourcing and explanation
DMann2003 Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 Anyone notice Edwards doing the Clinton thumb/hand gesture?
Guest MikeSC Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 No jobs created? Wah? Edwards has few problems COMPLETELY distorting the facts. -=Mike
teke184 Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 Don't go into medical costs, Edwards... That's a subject you're VERY vulnerable on.
The Czech Republic Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 Edwards is copying Kerry's bitchiness.
NYU Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 Edwards has definitely gotten stronger in this debate since it moved onto domestic issues.
RavishingRickRudo Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 -2 for Cheneys defense on the job issue. Whats this talk about Smoke Screens?
snuffbox Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 The large amount of Americans harmed by Bush's policies will disagree with Cheney's inflated job/education claims... But his explanations remain eloquently stated.
Guest MikeSC Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 Don't go into medical costs, Edwards... That's a subject you're VERY vulnerable on. "We'll do what they have not done". Wow, that is some specific plan there. -=Mike
Guest Cerebus Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 Edwards mixed up deficit and debt.
NYU Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 Edwards is copying Kerry's bitchiness. Let's not make a mistake here. When Cheney's question is about talking about the Israeli conflict - and he then decides to tackle the Halliburton claims instead - and then lodges into a personal attack on Edwards' record without any coaxing whatsoever - it looks to me that Cheney was much more harsh on the bitchiness than Edwards was. Edwards is only returning the favor in order to survive.
UZI Suicide Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 Johnny E is pulling back in the race.

RavishingRickRudo Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 I like what Edwards said there about the tax cuts. +3
snuffbox Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 I would have liked to see Edwards give a vivid explanation of the difference between factory/manufacturing jobs(those lost en masse overseas) vs. dept store/wal mart jobs (those that have been largely created).
The Czech Republic Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 Yeah for letting people run their own lives.
Guest Cerebus Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 The 96 vote increase or whatever is a big myth. Too bad he kept on it.
Guest MikeSC Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 Man, it's a real shame that the numbers don't come even close to adding up. Jesus, Cheney is owning him in domestic policy as well. This is a borderline epic bitch-slapping. -=Mike ...And Edwards will not be able to back up the 600 tax cuts for Kerry.

snuffbox Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 Edwards seems to be outright winning the arguement on taxation...probably his first real 'victory' of the debate...
Guest MikeSC Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 I like what Edwards said there about the tax cuts. +3 Despite the, well, total lack of facts, eh? Yup, sounds 'bout right. -=Mike

Edwards has been rocking Cheney in the domestic policy debate so well.
