Lightning Flik Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 Hm... That team needs more Wide Receivers, since they only have two on the IR. Maybe this team will get lucky and get those two badly needed players.
Guest Vitamin X Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 I'm sure we'll hear about Joey Galloway or better yet Terrell Owens going down eventually...
Agent_Bond34 Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 Between those two, Galloway is more likely to end up on IR.
Guest Vitamin X Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 There's a first time for everything
starvenger Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 I'd go with David Boston over Rogers. But if you're putting Rogers in there on potential, Winslow or Ben Watson should be in as well for a 2-TE set.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 Oh God, Winslow should easily be the starting TE. SOLID O-line for the IR team. The DBs are the thinnest unit; they need Champ Bailey or Charles Woodson to drop to really shore up the secondary.
Guest GreatOne Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 Add Damien Robinson as a solid backup at either safety position.
Guest Vitamin X Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Not just a solid o-line, solid defense too. Although thin at cornerback, high in quality in the secondary. This team could probably go 10-6 and maybe get to the conference game. Quick, we need a coach for this team...

LaParkaMarka Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 When I read the Banks article this morning, Winslow was the starter. I'm not sure if the article is terribly written or brilliantly written, but it's worth checking out.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Who's more beat up right now, you think? Bears or Dolphins?
Crimson Platypus Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Oh God, Winslow should easily be the starting TE. SOLID O-line for the IR team. The DBs are the thinnest unit; they need Champ Bailey or Charles Woodson to drop to really shore up the secondary. Why exactly is that? What had Winslow ever done in the NFL? It's not like he was lighting it up prior to his injury. "Potential" doesn't mean squat if it's not realized, just ask Brian Bosworth. (not that I don't think that Winslow is going to be good at some point, but that point is certainly not now (pre-injury))
Crimson Platypus Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 I'd say the Bears are more beat up right now. Who's their QB? Exactly. Granted the Dolphins are probably "hurting" more due to the lack of an NFL caliber running back, but just on injury terms I'd say Bears.
Guest El Satanico Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Who's more beat up right now, you think? Bears or Dolphins? As far as impact and importance, Cleveland with Bears in a close second. Miami wouldn't be any better right now if their IR guys were playing. Cleveland has 2 major contributers, 2 quality role players and 2 backup o-line men on IR. The backup oline men may not seem like a big deal, but Cleveland needs depth there. I'm just glad to see some teams keeping up with Cleveland on injuries to major contributers.
Lando Griffin Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Depending on how fast he heals, you might be able to add Steve Smith to the list.
Crimson Platypus Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 I thought Smith was done for the year?
Guest GreatOne Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Hey refresh my memory, wasn't last Sunday the day Winslow was supposed to 'make the Redskins pay' for not drafting him and taking his boy Sean Taylor instead? Uh huh.................................
Guest Vitamin X Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Add Packers backup QB Doug Pederson to the list! Thank god! The Giants injured him on one snap, and this puts Craig Nall as the #2 quarterback. From what I've seen of Nall, I'd be A LOT more relieved to see Nall step in the game than Pederson. I think the guy has a shitload of potential, and could turn out to be a Tom Brady-esque story if Favre (*knocks on wood*) ever does go down. All of a sudden that McKenzie trade for JT O'Sullivan seems to make a lot more sense.
snuffbox Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 Hm... That team needs more Wide Receivers, since they only have two on the IR. Maybe this team will get lucky and get those two badly needed players. With Green Bay's current string of luck it will probably end up being Javon Walker and Robert Ferguson
