THE CHAMP IS HOME

Oct. 7, 2004

John Cena, a native of West Newbury, Mass., will make a triumphant return home this week as SmackDown! comes to Boston.

Cena is fresh off his grueling best-of-five series win over Booker T for the United States Championship at No Mercy.

Also at No Mercy, Heidenreich crashed Undertaker’s WWE Championship party, drugging the Phenom and then ramming a pick-up truck into the hearse with Taker still inside. His sadistic and shocking actions helped JBL retain the WWE Championship.

Tonight, a banged-up JBL must face Hardcore Holly.

Big Show, making his first SmackDown! appearance since having his head shaved, will look to take out his frustration on Mark Jindrak.

Obviously, don’t miss one of the most revealing episodes of SmackDown! this week on UPN (8/7 CT).

And while the rest of the SmackDown! roster is recuperating from the pay-per-view, a fresh face will arrive on the scene. Don’t miss the debut of Carlito Caribbean Cool.

I just saw Carlito's debut promo, and it was AWESOME. "Relass, relass". Golden.

Rene Dupree wears pimping tights that say "French Tickler". Kenzo sings "New York, New York" and kicks his feet up. Best tag team in history.

I'm pretty interested by Carlito Cool. Seems interesting. Plus it's nice to see OVW grads get characters and some semblance of a personality instead of suffering from "Cade Disorder".

What's the new theme for Smackdown? Pretty cool.

Completely opposite. Just your run of the mill generic rock/metal. There was no need to change from the rap theme, as it distinguished the show from Raw.

Hate the new opening.

The rap theme+lockerroom shots was the best opening to any wrestling show, ever.

Cena's Writer

You're doing a bad job... :P

And Carlito's hair looked better in the promos >_>

I was writing for him back then when he was cool.
