EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Tim Wakefield is the tentative starter tomorrow. Wait. Wakefield pitched on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday for three innings. I know hes a knuckle baller, but thats insane. Knuckleballers are crazy like that. The Niekro brothers pitched into their 40s. Wilbur Wood once pitched 376 innings in a season. The pitch causes little strain, so they last.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Wait. Wakefield pitched on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday for three innings. I know hes a knuckle baller, but thats insane It's worth it. The Yankees look like fools against anyone that doesn't happen to be, oh, say, ME, and, really, what the hell would they be saving Wakefield for, anyway?
the max Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Come on, Bort Arroyo. Old Man Wallace had better calm him down.
mike546 Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 A-Rod knocked the ball away. Is that legal?
CanadianChris Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 No, it's runner's interference. Rodriguez should be out, and Jeter should be at second. YES!!! They got it right. And it could be a forfeit if the fans keep being idiots.
the max Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 A-Rod knocked the ball away. Is that legal? No, only if he's in the process of running. He swatted the ball away. And now the ignorant fucks in the Stadium are throwing things. An EXCELLENT call again by this crew.
mike546 Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 How the fuck does Jeter go back to second? Bullshit.
CanadianChris Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 How the fuck does Jeter go back to second? Bullshit. Of course he should. A-Rod knocked the ball out. The ball should never have gone to the wall, and Jeter should never have scored.
Guest Brian Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Dead ball, he didn't make it to second.
the max Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 How the fuck does Jeter go back to second? Bullshit. Jeter goes back to first.
Downhome Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Holy lord what an obvious call there. I can't believe NY is even trying to stand up for that, and now the fans...ugh.
JoeDirt Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 How the fuck does Jeter go back to second? Bullshit. Why is that bullshit? He only scored because A-Rod swatted the ball down the line.
mike546 Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 I meant how do they send him to first? It was a groundball. Bullshit.
Vern Gagne Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Why is Jeter not on 2nd? He would of gotten the base of Arroyo tagged A-Rod.
NoCalMike Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Wow, thank gawd they converged and made the correct call. Stupid Yankees fans throwing shit on the field. If they watch the replay it is so fucking obvious. Torre, please get your ass back in the dugout.
the max Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 I meant how do they send him to first? It was a groundball. Bullshit. Because it's a dead ball. Jeter wouldn't have made it to second.
CanadianChris Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 I meant how do they send him to first? It was a groundball. Bullshit. It was a DEAD ball. You can't advance on a dead ball.
Guest Brian Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 They called the ball dead before he advanced.
UZI Suicide Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Jeter was going to be at 2nd if A-Rod didn't swat Arroyo's arm.
mike546 Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 I meant how do they send him to first? It was a groundball. Bullshit. Because it's a dead ball. Jeter wouldn't have made it to second. It was a fucking ground ball. Jeter was at second on the play. bull.
CanadianChris Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Jeter was going to be at 2nd if A-Rod didn't swat Arroyo's arm. But he did swat the ball. The play was dead.
UZI Suicide Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Ok someone explain to me what the hell "dead ball" means then.
the max Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Jeter was going to be at 2nd if A-Rod didn't swat Arroyo's arm. As soon as A-Rod swats Bort's arm, it's a dead ball and Jeter goes back to first. Sheff pops out. Good work, Bort.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 What overpaid pieces of trash. Seriously. what a disgrace this team is.
mike546 Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 I don't care what the rules say, its retarded. Jeter was defintley at 2nd base before the tag happened.
