Guest W_Hillard Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 A friend of mine in the U.K. thinks that 'Taker is supposed to retire after this year. Can anyone confirm or debunk this rumor?
JJMc Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Well, I don't know who your friend is, but... I doubt it. He'll be arond for quite a few years to come.
Guest W_Hillard Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 She's on another (non-wrestling specific) forum I frequent. The question came up as we were discussing of the show she attended in Manchester. Edit: Excuse me, it wasn't Manchester (which is tonight's show), but Cardiff.
Guest Fook Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 People have been saying that since 2000. Taker's not going away any time soon. He's still going to be in main events in 2029. And he'll still have that damn Wrestlemania streak going too.
Guest W_Hillard Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 That's what I thought, too. Thanks.

She's Welsh, desregard her every thought.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Believe it when you see it. This has been a rumor for forever and I doubt he's retiring anytime soon. He'll probably still be around holding everyone down 5 years from now.
algrim Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 He'll be one of those wrestlers that retires because of an injury.
Promoter Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Yep, that time of year again where rumours fly that this is UT's last run and retires at Mania.
Lil' Bitch Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 All that hype for the Undertaker coming back as the Phenom and he doesn't even get another run with the title, what a bunch of bullshit.

I think she's suffered enough.
The Niggardly King Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Undertaker will never go away...even if he was in a wheelchair, he'd still be one of the top guys.
Guest GreatOne Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 It is his last year, it's just a big long neverending year that started back in 2000......................
snuffbox Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 I expect him to be main eventing (and winning) at WrestlMania XXX...
Guest Valcourt Posted October 12, 2004 Report Posted October 12, 2004 It's always hard to look at UT career through SMARK eyes. I wonder if the fans are tired of him, or if they think he is still the shit. Either way, I agree, he won't be gone for a while. And I don't think he will pass on the torch either. Whoever beats him at a wrestlemania will probably get nothing from it... If he ever lost one.
