Furthermore, I've known only two women in my life who could really make me laugh. I dated one of them for a year-and-a-half; never dated the other one, though I wish I had.

Every other girlfriend had many attributes (not just physical) that made me attracted to them, with making me guffaw being nowhere on those lists.

Who are you.........a reincarnated John Belushi?

Well apparently you and the late John Belushi share the same feelings about women NOT being funny.

Honestly though Inc. did you make a mistake on the title of the thread? I just thought that "Bitches ain't funny" may have been better............but to each his own.

Often, when girls try to be funny, it fails miserably. They're better at being charming, assuming they are not being frustrating and headache-inducing.

If this forum had more than one woman worth talking to (TRITEC can only do so much), I would advise them to cease with the "funny" stuff. They'll never get it right.

I don't hate women either Inc. I was just simply going for a more "grabbing" title is all................

I was explaining this to a female friend earlier this evening. She's an unfunny one; I didn't mention that she herself was incapable of inducing laughter, nor did she ever get that impression. In fact, she agreed with the theory overall, never once being offended.

More women should be like her!

I agree. I myself can only get by on tasteless and offensive humour, anymore. Most women are bland. It's just in our nature.

Females rely on things like their looks, or how they dress to get by socially. They are just different.

I understand why the question is asked though. Since men HAVE to rely on things like humor and personality cuz women respond differently to a persons characteristics. Usually a guy doesn't need a witty girl to keep his attention. A nice set of tits will do just fine.

Compare the number of smart and attractive women you know to the number of smart and fat/ugly. In my time, I've known a lot more smart but ugly women.

They usually had a better sense of humour, as well. If you're pretty, you can get by on being vapid.

This is a topic that has been impacting on my life quite significantly of late. I'm at the age where most of my female friends are turning 21, and this means 21st birthday parties and speeches. Invariably, chicks speak at chicks' 21sts, and even more invariably, they're painfully boring and unfunny. Some of the jokes are there, but there's just no delivery, I know that I could read the exact same speeches and get twice the laughs.

Bitches ain't funny indeed.

I have a couple of female friends I laugh at,

and even fewer that I actually am ACTUALLY driven to laughter by.

But I would not say that it's a higher ratio than among men.

We all just focus on the ladies more, and don't tend to notice ALL the BORING guys out there.

I'd rather have one make me a lasagna. What I need is a fat italian chick, I think. The last girl I dated fucked up toast frequently. True story. I can cook, why can't girls?

I can't cook, but the girl I have dated, thankfully, can.

None of them were funny, though, and having to fake laugh constantly when one thinks she's hilarious was painful.

What's with all the stupid chicks, too?

Most of them have tits, which covers up for that nicely.

A lot of guys aren't that funny either.

It's easier to laugh with them though.

It's easier because, on the whole, men are funnier than women. Look at the ratio of male-to-female comedians.

Anyway, it isn't just about telling jokes. Most women lack the ability to pull off a witty one-liner. This isn't something I hold against them; just an observation.
