mister foozel 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2004 Anyone got tickets for this? I'm gonna keep trying but I can't get any tickets for my area right now. They'replaying in some small venues so I wouldn't be suprised if the place is sold out. Edit: Forgot to mention that they are playing with Exodus and Earshot. Never heard Exodus, maybe someone can fill me in?
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2004 I got tickets to see them on Nov. 16 in Toronto. I think Exodus is only playing in certain gigs, while Earshot on the rest of the tour. As for Exodus. They are one of the forefathers of thrash metal, and a big cult band around the bay area during the time. Almost any thrash metal band at the time, look towards them as a major influence. Styles 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2004 I want to go on Nov. 12th in Philly, but it depends on getting a friend who can drive. I have one who is "considering" since he's not really a fan, but Ive burned him their new CD, and their greatest hits to give him a taste, and hopefully he'll give me an answer soon! Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2004 I believe Exodus joined the entire tour after 12 Stones dropped off. God, I wish 12 Stones were still on this tour. Earshot will get semi-accepted as they may be heavy enough live to pull it off. 12 Stones, however, would have been crucified and it would've been beautiful to watch. I will hopefully be at November 12th show.
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2004 Wait 12 Stones? Wasn't their singer the guy who dueted with Evanescence on Bring Me To Life? If so that would be one of the weirdest bills for a tour in a long time. I mean do kids who like bands like 12 Stones even know who Megadeth is? It's probably a good thing 12 Stones dropped out, I don't think they would have made it out alive.... wait a sec.
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2004 It's like having Hendrix opening up for the Monkees, or Metallica playing on the same bill as Phil Collins...
Styles 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2004 12 Stones was dropped from the tour. The supporting acts are Earshot and Exodus (with either some session singer who apprently doesn't know the lyrics or Chuck Billy of Testament depending on the mood).

snuffbox 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2004 Glad to hear that 12 Stones is off that bill. They are the worst band I have ever seen. Earshot, however, was surprisingly very fun when I saw them a month ago with Sevendust. Nonetheless, I wont be seeing this show as I have just too many concerts to see...Dope, Manson, Modest Mouse, Korn, Paris Texas...

That was old news. 12 Stones is totally off the show and Exodus is supporting them for the rest of the tour now. I'm upset because my friend is busy that day and can't go, which means I miss out on seeing Megadeth...again.

Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2004 I'd rather see Dave tour than James, or KISS... Well, they all suck pretty much equally anymore.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted November 6, 2004 I'd actually say KISS is the best of those three choices currently. They're still doing the same schtick, but that's all they've ever been about, so technically, since they're good at what they're doing, they defeat both Metallica and Megadeth. mister foozel 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2004 well, no one has to worry about earshot anymore, because they apparently quit the tour (and no Dave didn't kick them off, they didnt show up for a show, probably because of all the booing and drama) and yeah i guess i should have known who exodus was, dont i feel sheepish

converge241 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2004 FYI: Metallica wasnt on Clash of the Titans tour Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax rotated each stop as the headliners and Alice In Chains opened they should have been on the justice tour around (not exactly at that time but around) that time with cult or queensryche opening up.. edit: actually around that time they may have been done with justice touring altogether and working on the black album cause that came out in summer 91 the only package tours metallica have done since puppets (not counting like a big one day euro festival, or woodstock or something) Monsters of Rock 86-87(VH, scorpions, dokken, kingdom come) GNR/Faith No More Stadium tour Lollapalooza 96 (ramones, soundgarden, rancid, psychotica, screeming trees, wu-tang on some dates and many others) their 2 Summer Sanitariums that they headlined
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2004 whoops. Didn't the big 4 all tour together?
Styles 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2004 whoops. Didn't the big 4 all tour together? No, Megadeth and Metallica have never toured together. They've barely talked in 20 years. Anyway, I've had several heart attacks today. From before tickets even went on sale, I started bugging friends to go to the Megadeth show in Philly. See, I don't have a car, so I need someone who's willing to go to the show and drive, otherwise, I'd just go myself. Well, for weeks I go through various people who all string me along before ultimately coming up with some excuse or another why they can't go. I resigned myself to the fact that it's out of my hands, I tried my best, but I wasn't going to see Dave and friends live this round. Ok, well just today (yes, night before the fucking show), Im talking to someone who has friends who are going to the show, and could probably give me a ride down. Hey, great, better late than never? Well, of course I check the tour page and Philly is now SOLD OUT. I can't even describe how pissed I am. So, as a last resort I post my sobby story on the 'Deth board, and sure enough someone replies that I'm in luck because they have an extra ticket and would be happy to meet me tommorow before the show. I BETTER get that fucking ride. I can't believe within minutes I found someone who will meet me and sell me a ticket. By the way, latest version of the setlist, with more songs from The System Has Failed: Set The World Afire Skin Of My Teeth The Scorpion Wake Up Dead Something I'm Not In My Darkest Hour Angry Again Of Mice And Men Reckoning Day A Tout Le Monde Die Dead Enough Trust Tornado Of Souls Kick The Chair Hangar 18 Sweating Bullets Symphony Back In The Day Peace Sells Holy Wars
