Exslade ZX Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 WTF IS GOING ON!?!? Gail was good. (I mean, damn, why'd she appear on RAW then??) Nidia...well I liked her. Just everyone else didn't, so I guess that was a good firing. But Palumbo was doing good in his 'mechanic gimmick' so to speak. And I didn't see it, but someone here even said he took Benoit to the limit on Heat and had a good match. Chuck can go. And he has a killer right hand. Sucks they fired him.
DerangedHermit Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I wouldn't have expected Gail Kim....she was on Raw Monday
Guest LooneyTune Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Gail Kim was actually starting to improve. Edit: The site header says "Gial"...what geniuses working for WWE. They don't even proof read the shit. Nidia sucked, thank God she's gone. Chuck Palumbo has never done anything for me, so I don't really care about him being around or not. Besides, he disrespected Undertaker AND Droz.
Der Kommissar Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Well, that sucks. I liked Gail and Palumbo, and, really, if they were going to fire anyway, why stick her on Raw? Ah well. At least I will have some extra free time between 9 and 11 on Mondays now.
Guest LooneyTune Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Please tell me you don't watch Raw for GAIL KIM. Please say it's not so, Please!
Stephen Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 That is 6 in 3 days. Any idea how much Gail Kim, Nidia and chuck palumbo were making?. It was said that A-train, gunn & test were making $200,000. It shows you how bad things are for the wwe. You gotta wonder who will be next.
Downhome Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I thought all three could have been used, same for A-Train. Gail was starting to improve, Palumbo could have been a very solid player, same for A-Train (I loved his matches with Benoit), and Nidia was fine when she was with Jamie, just being a valet, I thought she was perfect for that. As a wrestler though, yeah, I'm glad she's gone on that account. I know you guys don't want to hear it, but I'm started to think that Vince is planning on a few "major" legends making a comeback in December, right around the time that Eric Bishoff comes back from his storyline vacation.
Tawren Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Gail Kim fucking sucked. Remember her debut? She was pimped as the best womens wrestler in forever. Yeah right. Nidia sucked too. Palumbo was never anything special. Test is still the only one I'm upset about having been fired.
AndrewTS Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Gail started out as a total disaster, but she was really improving and was a good heel. Nidia was awful, but I guess this means the TE folks aren't guaranteed a job forever. Palumbo actually had some upsides and potential, so it's a shame he's released. Why does Holly still have a job?
razazteca Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I believe that Jazz, Rodney Mack, Mark Henry could be next.
Guest Astro Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 wow......unexpected....... All Raw talents too
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 No more Nidia ? Fuck you Vince.
JoeDirt Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Didn't really expect this, but I don't really care. Weird that Gail was on RAW on Monday, but oh well. I'm sure Palumbo will be a big star on the indies.
Guest Coffey Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I'm glad all six are gone. Waste of space on WWE's roster. WWE is suppsed to be the "top dog," so to speak, in this business. The people should be developed in the minor leagues, not groomed in the minor leagues so that they can "come up" and develop on TV. WWE is supposed to be the "best of the best." Everyone in the business, for the most part, aspires to be in WWE. Whether it's because of the money or for the exposure, it's where they want to end up. Well, WWE is looking worse and worse every day, and lackluster talent is part of the reason. So, once again, I agree with all releases thus far. I won't defend anyone with "what could've been" because it didn't happen.
Guest Heppyhack Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Wow. Weird timing, too. Either the WWE's calling up a lot of talent to balance things out, it's not bothered about letting the rosters look sparse, or it's really struggling to balance the books.
Der Kommissar Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Please tell me you don't watch Raw for GAIL KIM. Please say it's not so, Please! More for the Gail/Trish/Molly team, actually, but Trish/Lita looks to be the big feud and that doesn't even remotely excite me. I still like Shelton and Tajiri, but Tajiri is bounced between nothing jobber and main event jobber so much that it is fairly hard to follow, and Shelton seems to be doing something important one week, then on Heat duty the next. Such inconsistency means I really don't have much reason to watch anymore.
Guest Ronnie755 Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I'm surprised that Shannon Moore and Akio have outlasted some of these names that have recently been fired. With that said, I'll bet they're next. along with Val Venis and Stevie Richards.
Promoter Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 More cuts? You know I think there are other people who should be cut as well as I don't think they have any chance of being anything for the company. If they can bring in new people to replace them it would be fine in terms of filling out the two brands. Maybe he is thinking about eliminating the brand split
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Gotta make room for "The Arabs" and Diva Search runners-up.
Stephen Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Didn't Henry sign a huge contract in 96?. I'm sure WWE will let it run out rather then release him because it would cost more. I think Bob Holly is next actually. Here is something to think about, these 3 have been released yet they are bringing back 3 divas from top 10 finalist, tough enough is going to be a 1 million contract. Eventually the WWE will sign a few of the top 10 guys. I think one has already been signed. Why not just cut some OVW guys?.
Guest Coffey Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I'm surprised that Shannon Moore and Akio have outlasted some of these names that have recently been fired. With that said, I'll bet they're next. along with Val Venis and Stevie Richards. ...and Rodney Mack, Mark Henry, Maven, the rest of the women, most of the cruiserweights and all Heat and Velocity fodder.
Guest LooneyTune Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 The "Arabs" are OVW workers. OVW is WWE's minor league. OVW talent is called up to WWE. I don't see how them coming to the roster is wrong. Nova invented releasing talentless hacks.
Guest Anglesault Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Gail Kim fucking sucked. Remember her debut? She was pimped as the best womens wrestler in forever. Yeah right. Nidia sucked too. Palumbo was never anything special. Test is still the only one I'm upset about having been fired. You trash Gail and praise... Test? Gail, as bad as she was at times, was infinitely better than Test at everything.
Stephen Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Maven's job has been saved due to Shawn michaels injury. If shawn did not get injured, maven would have been released.
Placebo Effect Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 What's very good is that the WWE set a new precedent by firing Nidia, a Tough Enough winner.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Dang, I liked Chuck.
Guest Reservoir_Kitty Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 This is really shocking... I mean, it's not like I'm weeping in my cornflakes over the loss of any one of these people - but I do agree that Gail was improving, and she was a good partner for the uber-bitchy Trish. I fear my favorite wrestler on Smackdown will be the next to go. For the love of my sanity, don't fire Nunzio! I'll cry Seriously... I wonder who is next, and more importantly, what's going on?
