Kurt Angle Mark Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 The Bulls gave up a 24-point lead to the Los Angeles Clippers. Well this certainly was an interesting road trip for the Clips, they go 2-1 having recorded their biggest victory on the road in team history against Indiana and also their greatest road comeback tonight against the Bulls.
mike546 Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Every time the Pacers beat the Knicks, an angel gets its wings. I can't remember the last time we beat the Pacers in Indiana. I know we beat you at home last year, soon after we got Marbury.
Brett Favre Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Every time the Pacers beat the Knicks, an angel gets its wings. I can't remember the last time we beat the Pacers in Indiana. I know we beat you at home last year, soon after we got Marbury. We almost beat them another time at home, hadn't it been for an O'Neal putback. Playing in Indy is tough though.
alfdogg Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 I'm almost positive that game was at the Garden as well. Both games in Indy last year were blowouts, if memory serves.
alfdogg Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 The Knicks are one of at least six teams interested in Eddy Curry Here's part of the article The Knicks are one of at least six teams to express interest, with the Bulls declining on Nazr Mohammed and asking for Michael Sweetney instead, a league source said. A possible compromise would be Kurt Thomas, although other Bulls salaries would have to be included to make that work. Credit: Chicago Tribune
alfdogg Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 EDIT: I started a thread for sports pictures and clips.

mike546 Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Sweetney's gonna be a star if the Knicks could get a real center.
Brett Favre Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Thats why I wanted that Kurt Thomas + filler for Zydrunas Ilgauskas trade. Big Z and Sweetney together would have been tons better. But with all the expiring contracts we have next year, (TT, Penny, Mohammed, Moochie, Baker) we should be able to net a real starting center.
MrRant Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 Sonics come back from down 20 and beat Memphis. 6-1 now.
MrRant Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 I think so because I didn't see him play in the time I was watching the game at work.
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 Is it too early to assume the Clips will probably have their best season ever this year? They've looked pretty good for being, well, the Clippers and all.. Hell, they're doing better than their vaunted crosstown rivals.
mike546 Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 Bakers a FA? Hooray. I hope we can sign Penny to a short term contract. He was the star of the team during the playoffs last year.
Brett Favre Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 Baker just got resigned. He's going to be a FA in 2 years. Penny is also going to be a free agent in 2 years, although he's making 14,625,000. But his expiring contract next year should be able to get us someone decent in return.
MrRant Posted November 16, 2004 Report Posted November 16, 2004 Sonics start a 6 game road trip tonight against the 76ers.
MrRant Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 Sonics beat Philly in Philly for their 7th straight win.
Kurt Angle Mark Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 Great Win by the Clips tonight beating Toronto 101-89. Clips lead by 25 at one point. Clippers are now 5-3 Jaric had a great game with 23 points 8 assists and 7 rebounds Big game tomorrow with Lakers, hopefully they would show everyone that L.A now belongs to the Clips.
Dangerous A Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 Although a win vs. the Bulls shouldn't mean too much to me, the Kings look to be getting back on track with their 3rd win in a row. Hey, any team opening with the Texas Triangle on their schedule would be lucky to pull off a single win, much less 2 or 3. Is it just me, or does there seem to be... A) more scoring and B) parity in the league?
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 Agreed with B, not so sure about A. There actually seems to be a lot less sub-100 point games than I remember there being last season, though I could be wrong. Huge game tonight between the Clippers and Lakers, man this should be very interesting to watch for a number of reasons- 1. Are the Clippers for real? 2. How will the fans react? 3. Can the Lakers show some sort of consistency yet?! Anyways, I probably won't be getting the game (I hate you Miami) but I hope I can at least get to check it out via PBP on the net or something. Go Lakers!
razazteca Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 Ray Allen is sick. Yao Ming had a cold.
MrRant Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 Sonics beat NJ 79-68 and are now on a 8 game winning streak at 8-1.
alfdogg Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 Oh, come the fuck on. That's a flagrant on anyone else in the league, guaranteed.
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 Lakers playing a hell of a tight contest with the Clips but the Lakers have been playing just that much better and pulled away in the late 3rd, now mid-4th quarter and it's 92-78. Kobe had a simply ridiculous dunk a while ago that will probably plaster all the ESPN highlights. Look for it.
alfdogg Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 Who goddamn it? The Shaq foul on Desmond Mason. The game was on ESPN.
MrRant Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 You need to be more specific because some of us aren't watching that particular game.
alfdogg Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 Sorry. Anyway, we beat the Hawks tonight, and we're 6-2, best record in the East. Al Harrington lit up Artest in his return to Indy, though.
alfdogg Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 I also noticed that we forgot to start a new thread for this week, so I guess we'll just pretend we made this for two weeks. I'm interested to see if Seattle and the Clips can keep it up, Toronto is coming back down to Earth as they've now lost four straight. Seattle has started off with similar records the last couple years as well, if I recall.
