Angel_Grace_Blue Posted November 11, 2004 Report Posted November 11, 2004 What, nobody else watched? Even if the episodes sucked, somebody would have started a thread to complain about them. Eh, anyway. South Park: - Liked the misinterpretation of two beeps by the cop (Despite having seen it on an episode of Futurama) - Indian sun burn? Snuggie? What the hell is a Polish bike ride? - Damn that bitchy teacher for not talking to us! Damn her! - Dude! Byoobs! Maybe more thoughts will come later, and perhaps even some regarding Drawn Together, but not right now.
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 11, 2004 Report Posted November 11, 2004 Drawn Together's the funniest show of the new stuff that's come out. I hope it becomes one of those 'cult hits' ala South Park and Family Guy. If not, I can see it getting 2nd life on Cartoon Network. It's just too awesome. "It prefers to be called Octopussoir!"
Lord of The Curry Posted November 11, 2004 Report Posted November 11, 2004 That "L-L-L-Labia baby" song is wrong in the most right kind of way.
Guest Sturgis Posted November 11, 2004 Report Posted November 11, 2004 I liked this weeks South Park better than last weeks. Last weeks ep just felt "empty". Is that yellow thing in DT supposed to be SpongeBob?
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 11, 2004 Report Posted November 11, 2004 Yeah. Drawn Together has a rendition of: Spongebob SquarePants Pikachu Superman Link from the Legend of Zelda a naive Disney-like heroine.. could be Belle from Beauty and the Beast? and some sort of Lil Kim rapper type mystery solving musician. (my favorite punchline with her was something about voting someone out of the house and she said "When I heard that, I couldn't stop moving my head from side to side like THIS!" and did the black chick move head from side to side thing for the rest of the show)
Angel_Grace_Blue Posted November 11, 2004 Author Report Posted November 11, 2004 I liked the giant Asian kid thing. I thought Foxxy was like Josie and the Pussycats or one of those type shows. And don't forget Betty Boop.
EdwardKnoxII Posted November 11, 2004 Report Posted November 11, 2004 And isn't the pig suppose to be Porky Pig?
Skywarp! Posted November 11, 2004 Report Posted November 11, 2004 No, it's just some crude internet Flash cartoon.
JasonX Posted November 11, 2004 Report Posted November 11, 2004 Yeah. Drawn Together has a rendition of: Spongebob SquarePants Pikachu Superman Link from the Legend of Zelda a naive Disney-like heroine.. could be Belle from Beauty and the Beast? and some sort of Lil Kim rapper type mystery solving musician. (my favorite punchline with her was something about voting someone out of the house and she said "When I heard that, I couldn't stop moving my head from side to side like THIS!" and did the black chick move head from side to side thing for the rest of the show) The Princess is designed after Ariel so I would say she's the basis especially when you take into account how utterly clueless the character is of the outside world (much like Ariel was). As for Foxie, she's a hybrid of Josie and the Pussy Cats and South Park-type mature audience cartoons.
EricMM Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 I think the pig is ripped off of the Pig from Sinfest, but thats just me. Last nights southpark was hilarious when the lady was on fire for the 2nd time and just kept going "Beep beep! Beep beep! Beep beep!" That was it mostly... Although the lesson was ok. It odd, but this season has always wanted to have something to say... Like the ninja star episode.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 It was an ok episode, I think the only thing I really laughed at was all of them pissing on the teacher when she was on fire in preschool. Drawn Together still needs a lot of work. Ling Ling is probably the funniest thing at this point.
JoeDirt Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 I thought South Park was one of the weaker episodes of late. Didn't find it all that funny. Drawn Together I just watched. God getting a penis stuck in his face? Wow.
Guest JMA Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 Man, I'll never get tired of Cape Fear parodies. And I'm happy that Drawn Together seems to be doing good so far. Hopefully it lasts a few seasons.
Jobber of the Week Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 Drawn Together is the dumbest thing I've seen on TV this year, and I watched two episodes of "The Biggest Loser" and five episodes of "Father of the Pride." Those three shows together nearly make me watch SmackDown. Adam Carolla sounded almost embarassed the one time I heard him interviewed about it, and I understand why now. It seems like everything the poor guy touches is destined to failure anymore. When you have a character that is an entire running gag that the guy from Final Fantasy dresses like a sci-fi homo and has a funny haircut, you're at 1998 levels in terms of geek humor. And oh hey, fat jokes. TV doesn't have enough of them!
The Amazing Rando Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 I thought the blurred out Snagglepuss and Elmer Fudd dancing were pretty hilarious...even though it was done on the Simpsons with Huckleberry Hound. "I was soooooo gay, and I couldn't tell anybody!"
Gary Floyd Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 Ling Ling owns. That's all I have to say
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 I actually like the stereotypical black chick myself. Oh, and I'd do Clara. Octopussoir and everything. I've got a naive Disney heroine fetish. Speaking of which.. That's from the November Maxim. Couldn't find the pic itself online, but interesting nonetheless...
Mole Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 Can't we just make one SP thread instead of the 3 we have already?
Ted the Poster Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 Ling Ling is the only thing that makes DT remotely watchable. X, I thought you had taste, man.

I saw that picture on Maxim recently and thought "I know it's just a drawing, but holy shit, I could spank it to that picture for hours...." ...God, I am pathetic. Or horny. Or both.

Pathetically horny?
Guest Coffey Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 Drawn Together is the dumbest thing I've seen on TV this year. I concur...maybe the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
Slayer Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 DT seems to be an amalgamation of extremes to me Half of it is stuff that makes me cringe, the other half makes me laugh pretty hard
LJSexay Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 It's the dumbness of it that makes it sooooooo fun to watch, I feel. "I weally wike you, wander"
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 DT seems to be an amalgamation of extremes to me Half of it is stuff that makes me cringe, the other half makes me laugh pretty hard This is exactly how I feel about it as well. When the jokes miss they are WAY off, but when they're good, they're great. I personally don't like the reality spoofs like when they did the Bachelor skit in the Octopussoir episode. I'm kinda glad they didn't draw out the whole Xandir is apparently gay to everyone but himself thing for the whole season. Every reality show needs some kind of flaming moron, anyways.
