Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2004 1 National Treasure $35,298,000/$35,298,000 2 The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie $33,500,000/$33,500,000 3 The Incredibles $26,790,000/$177,822,000 4 The Polar Express $15,215,000/$51,010,000 5 Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason $10,100,000/$21,600,000 6 After the Sunset $5,275,000/$19,292,000 7 Ray $4,600,000/$59,200,000 8 The Grudge $3,800,000/$104,400,000 9 Seed of Chucky $3,136,490/$13,354,918 10 Saw $3,000,000/$50,500,000 11 Shall We Dance? $2,309,779/$52,267,164 12 Sideways $1,810,000/$6,020,244 -------------------- Out of the top 12: Alfie and A Shark's Tale. I really didn't think National Treasure looked good enough to be #1, but apparently I don't know anything. Bridget was only in 550 theaters last weekend, this weekend it's on almost 2,500. So not much of a dollar jump, but it held on to the same spot. Seed of Chucky went from 4th to 9th in it's second week. The Grudge topped $100 million this week while Shall We Dance and SAW went above $50 million. As of right now The Incredibles is the 78th all time box office grosser. Right behind Snow White and right ahead of Tootsie. Sideways is doing great buiness for only being on 279 screens. It was #12 last week as well only showing on 144 screens. ------------------- Opening Wed -Alexander -Christmas with The Kranks

bob_barron 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2004 I'm surprised and kind of sad Bridget didn't do that well. It wasn't as good as the first obviously but it was very funny and deserved to do better
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted November 21, 2004 People actually went to National Treasure? I laughed hysterically at how stupid the plot was when I saw the first previews for it.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2004 To me, National Treasure is one of those movies that looks good in the trailer, but that's about it. Just nothing but hype all the way through until you get the crummy ending when the treasure is probably revealed to be something stupid.

Big Ol' Smitty 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2004 I question whether any of you actually saw the first or second movies. I don't go EWWWW CHICK FLICK and run away. If it's a great movie like Bridget Jones's Diary was- It's a great movie. I saw the first with an ex-girlfriend. I think my sperm count dropped significantly as a result. bob_barron 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2004 I watched it once on TV cause there was nothing on and fell in love with it. Hugh Grant is one of my favourite actors and Renee Zelwegger is my favourite actress so it's only a natural I would love the film. Colin Firth also gives a good performance even though Hugh Grant outclasses him at every turn. Firth's performance in the sequel is much better as he doesn't have to compete with Cleaver this time around. Hugh Grant was amazing in Bridget 2- he plays the asshole so well. Jim Broadbent also kicks ass Colin Jones. I didn't even think Renee was that great in Bridget 2 but Firth and Grant OWNED.

razazteca 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2004 People actually went to National Treasure? I laughed hysterically at how stupid the plot was when I saw the first previews for it. Rise of the Phoenix is laughable. It uses Gilligan's Island logic to save the day. Hey let's make a new plane out of the old one instead of fixing the engine. bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2004 I saw National Treasure. It was not bad in a light kinda fun way. One of those turn your brain off movies, as a heist treasure hunt movie it was watchable. Nothing great though.
Guest Smues Report post Posted November 22, 2004 National Treasure came in at #1? Gag. Am I the only one who thinks christmas with the Kranks looks absolutely pathetic? And sad to see The Incredibles finally drop out of the top spot, but it's still doing just fine. Craig T. Nelson owns!!
