What the hell do you need to fund a blog for? Even a blog like Kos would only need a few idological Blogads to cover his server fees (which, even for big blogs like that, are not that much)

Nonetheless, I've been endlessly quoting my original post in this thread, trying to pseudo-troll Mike into answering the question, but to no avail. It's all part of the vast left wing conspiracy.

But uh, I'm not sure I'm really needed on this panel; for all intents and purposes, I'd be about the same as Cerebus. I agree with what he's saying, but at the same time, I'm already convinced that America is far better than Canada in every respect, and thus, my judgment on this matter is clouded as well. Cerebus can read statistics just as well as I can.

Every Respect, Huh....I hope you're joking.

Unless you can definitively prove that removing whatever you wish to remove completely changes the data (simply put, you cannot), then you don't have a leg to stand on.

C'mon mike. THE DATA IS SHOWING TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. Of course you need to completely change the data because they're different to begin with. Naturally the Canadian rate is higher because it includes MORE types of crimes. I think you're just too fucking stubborn to EVER admit you're wrong.

By the way Mike, maybe you should look at this site to learn how removing data will change the outcome!

I'm not wrong. I will not admit I'm wrong when I'm clearly not.

And make whatever judgments you wish, as I won't change a damn thing on my sig, avatar, etc. whatever you say.

Give it up, Cerebus. Mike's powers of no-selling arguments about statistics are legendary.

You still havn't explained why you're right. I frankly don't give a damn about this whole thing, but the fact that you won't admit you are wrong, which you CLEARLY are in this case, simply astounds me.

I don't consider environmental quality to be something that determines whether one country is better than another...

Wow, you really are turning to Karl Rove. Next thing I know you'll be saying how great tax cuts that benefit the wealthy are good for the poor becuase it gives them a pool to clean for $6/hour...

How about you prove that adding in those crimes to the US rate or subtracting them from the Canadian rate would actually change anything?

Allow me to add on to the previous link with another one.

And you are still not demonstrating that even taking the differences into account, ANYTHING changes. Don't confuse your snarkiness for evidence.

Cerebus gets two points for almost making me choke.

Shame the job wasn't finished.

i'm sorry, the correct insulting response to anything that involves choking is, "your mom was choking on my semen last night," or some euphemism thereof.

something to the effect of "don't try to swallow next time you verbally fellate him" would also have been acceptable.

This thread is horrible.

I was wondering if I was the only one who noticed that.

Make it three. Thread makes the Wall Street Journal read like the funny pages.

This is a little bit like reading some types of philosophy. Two people stand at different points, argue for 5000 words, but then are too stubborn to admit any faults in what they say, and no one changes their mind for fear of feeling insecure or something...something hurting their rep.

Something great about the internet...if you're wrong, who fucking gives a shit? There are people behind the text but then again, there is a 99% percent I will never meet any of you in real life.

So everyone should relax...and Mike, if you're wrong, you're wrong...you are not a robot. I don't think your avatar matters much in the long run, pal.

But I have to admit, this thread does blow. I hope I'm not the only one tired of this "Conservative vs. Liberal" and "United States vs. Canada" thing.

I bet you could trace the downfall of the Current Events folder to my joining of it.

I think you could trace the downfall of a lot of things by you're joining it.

Who STILL hates you all.
