CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2004 I might have picked up the Andre one if it wasn't Alfred Hayes doing the hosting. I can't stands that guy.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted November 26, 2004 Wait...why is Cole/Tazz commentary on the WM 1 match? WWE has released it on tape several times a few years back and it had Jesse Venturas commentary.

MikeJordan23 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2004 Wait...why is Cole/Tazz commentary on the WM 1 match? WWE has released it on tape several times a few years back and it had Jesse Venturas commentary. They can't use Jesse's voice. Not sure if you bought Foley'd DVD but his match with Vader, you only hear Tony talking though Ventura did commentary on it. Same thing with Foley vs. Sting on the DVd, notice Foley and Coach did commentary, that's because Jesse was on that one too with Jim Ross.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted November 26, 2004 Hulk Rules DVD has Wrestlemania III's orginal commentary, as does the 1988 Survivor Series Match and 1990 Royal Rumble Match.
BHK 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2004 WM 6 had 14 matches? Wow.

Same thing with Foley vs. Sting on the DVd, notice Foley and Coach did commentary, that's because Jesse was on that one too with Jim Ross. They can use Jesse's voice as long as it meets two requirements: A) It's not a WCW match and B) It's a match that has previously been released at some point on a WWF(E) video or DVD release. The commentary may likely be an "alternate commentary" choice rather than deleting the original commentary altogether, or maybe they just decided to give another perspective on the match. Elbarto997 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2004 DVD sounds good enough, as long as they don't want to extent it to 2 Discs so they have to delay the red hot RVD DVD, like the Hall Of Fame DVD delayed the ECW DVD. Can you guess what they're going to do for the main feature? Anyone? By looking at the Match listings, it seems like they is goin OLD SCHOOOOLL for this DVD. But the 18-Man Battle Royale seems like a Cheap attempt of putting Hulk Hogan on there. Still not bad...
MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2004 The Andre dvd was originally released by Coliseum Video in 1985. Just a cut and paste job like many past dvds.
Elbarto997 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2004 I thought they were going to paste the Larger Than Life feature on there, which was released by WWF Home Video around '98. Still, this DVD sounds like a collector's holiday. Most of the matches look frickin rare. Larger than Life ain't that easy to get anymore. So this seems like a nice recommendation. Of course this is Andre we're talkin about so Scott Keith will probably crash the party and recommend the DVD to avoid...
MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2004 It's actually a really interesting 90 minutes. As you can imagine, there's a lot of younger Andre squashing everyone but the haircut match along w/ the revenge match vs. Ken Patera is perfect stuff for fans of that era. Plus, there's an awesome TNT segment where Vince McMahon tries to goad Andre into putting up his career against Studd much to Andre's annoyance. And it ain't pretty when the big man gets annoyed.
