Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2007 ...you don't remember the band name by any chance, do you? Because I'm getting a punk-ish White Zombie vibe in my head from your description, but only because Rob always says "yeah" a million times in every song. Municipal Waste is touring the States now, and they're doing three dates up in New England in a week-and-a-half span. September 26 they're at the Living Room in Providence, the 27 they're at the Palladium Upstairs in Worcester, and on October 5 or 6 they're in Springfield at the Waterfront. I won't even try to make it to Springfield, but I fully intend on doing the back-to-back dates for Providence and Worcester.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2007 Fracas. The other opening band was Teenage Harlets, who were actually really good. If anybody wants to listen to local bands from places they aren't from (I do that), try them.
PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2007 'I Get Wet' made me cry once as well. I was hammered, but the song still hits me a bit.

Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2007 I've been digging some music that is a little odd by my usual standards: "Hello" by Dirty Little Rabbits and "The Heinrich Manuever" by Interpol. What the hell...
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2007 I've got a serious problem. I don't think I can listen to "Like A Prayer" without crying anymore. It's like kryptonite; when I start acting a fool, play Madonna on a boombox over your head like John Cusack in Say Anything and I'll weep.
UZI Suicide 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2007 Axl Rose is gonna sing on three songs on Sebastian Bach's new album. This should surely kick ass.
AboveAverage484 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2007 Springsteen has a new album coming out on October 2nd with the E Street Band. This should also surely kick ass.

CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2007 If you're talking about "If Everyone Cared", yeah it is. I hated it for the first few weeks, but it grew on me. Being a hippie, I've always liked the video.
Timmy8271 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2007 No I'm talking about "Rockstar". It has a whole bunch of people like Billy Gibbons and Hef's whores in it lip synching.
Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2007 The new New Pornographers CD is a stark decline from Twin Cinema. Disagree. I like it as much as, if not more than, Twin Cinema. I'm very satisfied.

Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted August 23, 2007 The new LiveFastDie single, "Do I Look Like A Bank To You" is fucking awesome. I love every single thing about that band. Look at that jumpsuit. In fact, here's their myspace, you can listen to the song.

luke-o 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2007 Hadouken! are pretty good, I'd check them out, esspecially Tunning In and Liquid Lives. I'm fairly sure you can find some videos of them on youtube.
PUT THAT DICK IN MY MOUTH! 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2007 I'm baffled as to how anyone could think Dizzee Rascal sounded white.
Giuseppe Zangara 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2007 Also telling is his disinterest in black rappers.
Copper Feel 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2007 If you're willing to disregard your no blacks rule, Slick Rick is a good rapper.
Gary Floyd 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2007 Ted Nugent rants about Democrats. Or at least Hillary and Obama. Not suprising, but amusing.
vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2007 Mike Skinner aka The Streets is white and British. Dizzee Rascal sounds neither white nor black; he sounds Martian.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2007 So after weeping over it the other day, I thought I'd check out the video for "Like A Prayer". It's one of the stupidest things I've ever seen, and I mean that in a good way. I remember seeing it when I was a lad watching Mtv in the 80s, but it's been a while. So Jesus is a black guy and she fucks him. The the concept of the video. Right the fuck on, Madge. Seriously, I love Madonna. Publishing a book that's just a bunch of filthy pictures of yourself and charging $100 for it. Then being a million years old and making out with Britney Spears for no reason and living in a castle in England. I wish I was her. Could have done without "Frozen" though. Everything else she put out was great, but that song basically sucked.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2007 hey, this new album from Junior Senior is pretty catchy...that's right, I said that.
Gary Floyd 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2007 hey, this new album from Junior Senior is pretty catchy...that's right, I said that. Speaking of good dance/techno albums, Cross by Justice is pretty good. I'll have to check out the new Junior Senior album sometime. I'm sure it's better than the shitty new Chemical Brothers album. Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2007 Have I ever mentioned my irrational hatred of the Chemical Brothers? I do hate them, and there's really no reason for it. Especially considering that I love Crystal Method, who I've heard called the American Chemical Brothers a bunch of times.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2007 I've never gotten in to the Chemical Brothers, as far as THAT kind of music goes.
