Nighthawk Posted December 6, 2004 Author Report Posted December 6, 2004 Got that one in New York, too. The one that's a reproduction of the On the Corner cover is far cooler, though. I have that one too, actually.
Nighthawk Posted December 6, 2004 Author Report Posted December 6, 2004 I wear it with my yellow hoodie, blue sunglasses and Laker cap. I'm so pimp it hurts.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Hey, I'm plugging my radio show in this post. Last proper one of the year. Two hours of indie bullshit, with a little jazz thrown in at the beginning. Â Starts at 9pm, EST: http://stream.unf.edu:8080/ramgen/wosp/wosp.smil
Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 I'll be spinning some Dwarves and N.W.A., too.
godthedog Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 mangum's lyrics a lot of times are maddeningly vague, but i'd never call it dull. he's taken up that lost bob dylan art of throwing together a lot of random vivid imagery and calling it a song. Â the most cathartic albums i can think of off the top of my head: Â beatles, 'abbey road' john lennon, 'plastic ono band' nirvana, 'unplugged in new york' jeff buckley, 'grace' Â i can't really explain that last one. not an "oh my god i'm going to cry" experience, but whenever i listen to it i feel drained by the end. probably something about his voice.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 I didn't mean to say Mangum's lyrics were dull so much as the music plods at times.
godthedog Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Hey, I'm plugging my radio show in this post. Last proper one of the year. Two hours of indie bullshit, with a little jazz thrown in at the beginning. Starts at 9pm, EST: http://stream.unf.edu:8080/ramgen/wosp/wosp.smil once again i am reminded that i have no speakers for my computer & am saddened by it.
Nighthawk Posted December 6, 2004 Author Report Posted December 6, 2004 Nick Drake's Pink Moon is a rather cathartic album.
Nighthawk Posted December 6, 2004 Author Report Posted December 6, 2004 I listen to Incandenza's radio show every day.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Your patronage is appreciated!
Spaceman Spiff Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 What time does your show end? I'm listening at 9:40 PM EST, and heard the dj say "oopsie-daisy, technical difficulties". I sure hope that wasn't you.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 wtf, I never said "oopsie daisy."
Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Just had another technical foul-up, too. Lousy equipment.
Spaceman Spiff Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Well, whoever was dj'ing did. And I was listening to the show from the link you posted. Â EDIT: it must have been you, since I heard the latest glitch. "Goddamn fucking lousy CD player" (or something like that). BTW, that's not the voice I envisioned you having.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 That was me, but I never said that. This is libel.
Spaceman Spiff Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 The illusion has been shattered.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 If I did say it, it was only meant ironically.
Henry Spencer Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 BTW, that's not the voice I envisioned you having. Â Ditto. Â You're playing NWA now. Yay NWA. Â EDIT: My mom walked into the room during this song and gave me a dirty look. Damn you.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Dedicate a song to me. Give me your name.
Spaceman Spiff Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 I'll have to pass on that. Don't like giving out my real name. Â I was hoping you'd dedicate one to my TSM name
Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Fine, A----w. Â EDIT: Spiff's name taken out because he won't be able to sleep at night, otherwise.
Spaceman Spiff Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Damn that AoO. Â No last name, please.

B. Brian Brunzell Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Man, I worked for a couple days and the thread has TAKEN OFF AGAIN~! Â At work tonight, I rediscoverd that I fucking HATE the band Yes. They just seem like they're trying way to hard to be some sort of Pink Floyd/King Crimson hybrid. Though Chris Squire is an excellent bassist.
B. Brian Brunzell Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 I picked up Local H Whatever Happened To P.J. Soles for 10 bucks, and this has to be on of the best albums of the year. You sir, are correct. That album fucking jams from beginning to end. I can listen to "Buffalo Trace" and "Halcyon Days" all day long.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 A----w, did you like that I dedicated "Skin Poppin' Slut" to you.
Nighthawk Posted December 6, 2004 Author Report Posted December 6, 2004 Incandenza's voice makes me laugh so hard. I want to meet him and take a picture of us standing side by side with our arms around each other. It will be the new goatse.cx
