Vince owns the footage so he can do whatever he wants with it. Dale Gagner's AWA has NOTHING to do with Gagne's AWA. Even though Gagner likes to blow smoke out of his ass to say that it does. The AWA's last match as the Turkey on a Pole match where Colonel DeBeers lost. Vince McMahon owns the true AWA and Dale Gagner can take his fake AWA and shove it up his ass. Actually the AWA was still putting on shows AFTER the Turkey Match...they just were held in front of like 5 people. Plus titlehistory pages (www.solie.org/titlehistories/index.html) say that AWA's title history is the same through the two versions. You should contact Mr. Vince McMahon then. Mr. McMahon owns the tape library and logos of the American Wrestling Association and therefore may use them as he pleases. Verne Gagne's AWA officially closed down in 1991 (or 1992) and Dale Gagner's AWA is about as legitimate as 3 legged donkey. The AWA name has existed for several years even prior to Gagne bringing it to Minnesota. The AWA name was also used for a Boston based company where Gorgeous George was champion. That championship was later merged with Lou Thesz's NWA World Heavyweight Championship. The Boston AWA has no connection to Gagne's AWA only in name. Don't be so naive as to believe that Gagne and Gagner's AWAs are even connected. That's like saying that Triple H is the current WCW World Heavyweight Champion. It's a naive point of view. Mr. McMahon owns Gagne's AWA and Gagner is only blowing smoke out of his ass. On Topic- Akio and London was a great match. Josh Matthews looked really into it. I only wish that they could had gotten some time. Paul London continues to show flashes of brilliance and if he sticks in there, he will get his push one day. Mr. London is one of the great young talents only available in the WWE. I see flashes of Shawn Michaels in Paul London actually. Mostly due to the fact that Shawn trained Paul.

Did a young Steamboat have that hair? Not AS long, but he did, I believe. ...he also had a beard though. I know this from the Ultimate Ric Flair collection.

You get some good stuff occasionally, and minimal crap from SD in recap form. Sunday Night Heat has a good match once a year, and has TODD GRISHAM as a color commentator...thats like torturing yourself.

No. Is it a technical display? No. Is it "smart" boxing? No. But jesus christ it's awesome. I want balls out wrestling sometimes, and I *never* get it in the WWE.

I wasn't too into it after going "Oh fuck..." when London almost pulled a Sabu (and was into the DDT finish). Looked like a stiff match overall though.

The ddt spot, Akio didn't even land on his head, it was some sort of strange twisting neckwrench. I can only presume that London was either out of it, or forgot to use right(?) arm for the ddt. Interesting move if it was planned that way though. New invention? The kicking spot after that chin spike, since it looks like he bent his head back landing on his shoulder and chin, doesn't make a lot of since. If they're booking London to be some unstoppable cruiser, then it fits. If not, it just didn't click. Not to pimp DVDR but I would take the 9/13-9/19 Akio v. Paul London Velocity 9/14 (Aired 9/18) match over this one.

He was trained by Rudy Boy Gonzalez at the Texas Wrestling Academy after Shawn left.

Usually everything is done with the left part of your body in my observations. Work the left, use the left for moves. Basically everything but punches and kicks.
