RavishingRickRudo Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 In my quest to put off doing my Marketing Analysis and Planning project, here's the heat thread. Benjamin is up. AIN'T NO STOPPIN ME NUUUH! JR is in the place of Michael Cole. I mean Chris Leary. I mean Mark Lloyd. I mean Coach. I mean...
Guest LooneyTune Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Yes! Coach and J.R. on commentary. Anything is better than Grisham. Benjamin vs. Richards starts the show.
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 6, 2004 Author Report Posted December 6, 2004 Really crappy wrestling sequence to start. That back take-down is horrible. He needs to do double-legs. NICE armdrags! Why is he working the arm? He doesn't do an armbar submission.
BHK Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Perosnally, I'm watching for the main event. I was never much of a fan of Rhyno or Tajiri, but I've become a mark for the team since they've been paired together this year.
Guest LooneyTune Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Could this be the first match Stevie and Benjamin have had with each other? History is made on Heat...their first encounter, Jim Ross doing commentary... u.. Speaking of J.R., he's throwing in College Football already at 7:04 PM.
Guest ian. Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 This show reminds me of the Action Zone because of JR actually announcing on a B show.
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 6, 2004 Author Report Posted December 6, 2004 "He's got great genetics" "He'll get better and better as time goes on" "He's learning focus in the ring" "He's one of the greatest pure athletes that I have ever seen" YEAH! THAT'LL GET EM OVER!
JoeDirt Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 I haven't watched Heat in weeks...good to see that Grisham is gone, I hear he's horrible.
JoeDirt Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 "He's got great genetics" "He'll get better and better as time goes on" "He's learning focus in the ring" "He's one of the greatest pure athletes that I have ever seen" YEAH! THAT'LL GET EM OVER! If he was a second generation athlete, JR would be set.
Guest LooneyTune Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Holy Shit...they are talking about the match AND the participants. It's a Heat Miracle. To counter TNA's PPV, Jim Ross is bringing the workrate...which is replacing Todd Grisham.
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 6, 2004 Author Report Posted December 6, 2004 Richards is an enigma? His style is unortodox?
Vyce Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Fuck me! I really wanted to tape this Richards match, but I didn't realize Heat had started until just now.
Guest LooneyTune Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Richards hasn't had a real match on RAW in a year... Jim Ross is probably confusing him with a Hardy.
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 6, 2004 Author Report Posted December 6, 2004 So Benjamins gimmick is a mix of Rocky Maivia and "Makin a difference" Rikishi Phatu? That'll work. Not bad punches. That final one was good, the others were suspect.
MillenniumMan831 Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 This reminds me of a Coliseum Exclusive match or somethin w/ the uninspired commentary actually focused on the match and its participants.
Guest LooneyTune Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Good thing Benjamin replaced that clothesline as a finisher.. it's definitely not buyable for someone as IC Champion.
razazteca Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 JR is not too excited to be working Heat.
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 6, 2004 Author Report Posted December 6, 2004 It's weird to heat them talk about Sting and influences. God he needs a new finisher.
Tawren Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Benjamin needs to add more snap to the T-Bone or drop it as a finisher, because that was no worse than a slam.
MillenniumMan831 Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Up Next . . . a trip in a time machine as we go back to 1999 and witness Val Venis vs. Viscera!
Guest LooneyTune Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 JR is not too excited to be working Heat. It's 10000x better than Grishams "What is this move?" "it's a punch" conversation. Venis v. Vis! Smell the workrate! (toilet flushes)
Vyce Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 You know, Venis v. Viscera is taking space away from what would have once been a nice Victoria v. Gail Kim match.
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 6, 2004 Author Report Posted December 6, 2004 Thats not a tbone. It's a fucking powerslam. He needs to grasp his hands together and throw him over his shoulder for it to be a suplex.
JoeDirt Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Benjamin needs to add more snap to the T-Bone or drop it as a finisher, because that was no worse than a slam. John Cena has a shitty finisher, and the fans still cheer him. But yeah, I still agree. BIG VIS UP NEXT!
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 6, 2004 Author Report Posted December 6, 2004 HHH is on CityTV for you Tdotters.
razazteca Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Benjamin needs to add more snap to the T-Bone or drop it as a finisher, because that was no worse than a slam. Shelton should add a moonsault to the slam.
Guest LooneyTune Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 WWE Heat is going head-to-head with TNA Xplosion on the CSS Network. Smell the WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 6, 2004 Author Report Posted December 6, 2004 "It helps wrestling fans to see wrestlers in other entertainment things, they like to do that" Ok, its over.
Tawren Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Benjamin needs to add more snap to the T-Bone or drop it as a finisher, because that was no worse than a slam. John Cena has a shitty finisher, and the fans still cheer him. But yeah, I still agree. That brings me to another point: Benjamin has no character. He's a white meat babyface who takes no guff AND he's athletic. That's it. At least Cena has his, albeit boring, rapper character. I can't believe they brought back Viscera. Fucking hell.
