So we always do the "Who's the best" polls and those are all well and good but this is a beast of a different breed. Have fuckin' fun.

 

1. Move of the year- If we're going by the Wrestling Observer calendar, Brocks german suplex to Benoit in their Smackdown match was absolutely fucking sick. Brock had the best germans and this one was no different. If we're going by Jan 1'st 2004 standards then my vote goes to Jamie Noble reversing a slingshot plancha by Rey Mysterio into a bridging northern lights suplex on Velocity post-Mania. I actually jumped out of my chair when he did that one. I miss Noble.

 

Honourable mentions- Ortons's RKO on Foley at WrestleMania and Bradshaws lariat on Eddy during their cage match.

 

2. Best Dressed- DAVE's pimp suit at WrestleMania takes this in a walk.

 

Honourable mentions- Flair's black robe that he rocked on RAW against Lawler last week, Eddy's scarface shirt and the "outfit" that Trish wore to Lita and Kane's wedding.

 

3. WWE Homoeroticism Award- TIE between any time that Evolution is cutting a promo as a group and the backstage segment between Benoit and Eddy that was an extra on the SummerSlam DVD. It's worth picking the DVD up for those 5 minutes alone.

 

4. Promo of the Year- Benoit in Calgary the night after Backlash. The "Stu" chant still gives me chills to this day.

 

Hourable mentions- Luther Reigns promo on Big Show two weeks ago on SD was fucking badass. I really liked how Heyman does his promo's w/ Heidenreich.

 

5. Bump o' the Year- Orton's missed RKO onto the thumbtacks at Backlash. Nothing comes close.

 

Honourable mentions- Benjamin dying on a missed Stinger Splash against Jericho on the first RAW after Taboo Tuesday.

While a pretty sweet move, I dug the finish to the 1st Knoble/London match: Northern Lights suplex by London on Knoble, reversed directly into Knoble's Paydirt for the submission win. I believe London tried to skin the cat in that match, too, only to have Knoble dropkick him in mid-move, sending London to a flat-back bump right to the floor. Man, those 2 had some good matches together.

Nah, Prison Rape is more violent than gay. What goes on between HHH and Batista is physical AND emotional. It's a different layer that really adds to the homoeroticism, which Heidenreich/Cole didn't have.
