Guest Fook Report post Posted December 7, 2004 Good show tonight, although the first hour was abysmal, the second made up for it. Trish/Lita delivered. Hyping it up throughout the night was a good move. Super hot crowd helped. I bought a couple of those false finishes myself. And how is Lita's neck not broken? Tag match was good, more for the storyline than for the match. I really liked HHH chasing Lillian for announcing him as the former champ. If anything, I would have had Trips accidentaly chair Flair as well when going on his rampage. Just have him talking trash to Jericho after hitting him. Have Flair grab HHH's arm from behind to calm him down and Trips turns around and nails Flair (to undoubtedly HUGE heel heat considering they were in Charlotte). HollywoodSpikeJenkins 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 I think Flair should of went nuts on HHH for hitting Batista. Just go apeshit so HHH could question who Flair is with while Flair plays "dad" for Batista.
The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 And by the way, the Captain Charisma suit was kinda funny, but I think the joke of "look at this guy in the goofy superhero costume" loses its steam when, two segments before, people are supposed to cheer a guy in a goofy green superhero suit who calls himself "The Hurricane." But in Xtian's case, he has no desire to be in the outfit, though I was hoping he would win and actually LIKE the outfit just to spite everyone, and then slowly turn face. MARTYEWR 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 Solid second hour after a crappy first hour. - The opening segment was fine (I thought Jericho's "leis" jokes were cute, as they reminded me, for some reason, of Edge & Christian's "nuts" jokes from circa 2000). The one thing that bothered me was Jericho being left out in the cold during the Vince/HHH saga. After Vince had left, we could've had something, ANYTHING, between Jericho and HHH to give Jericho even more reason to put himself in the tag match. - Maven didn't get the heel heat he (and the WWE) wanted. - I actually like Fozzy, but they sound HORRIBLE live. - Hurricane is this generation's Koko B. Ware. - Edge and Orton had a nice little face-off. Both guys look like they've improved their mic ability BIG time. I'm wondering if they're going to take a chance and make that the WrestleMania main event. I can't see Orton main eventing against HHH, since HHH hardly has any issues with him these days. - I normally don't like comedy matches, but I thought Christian could've sold his ridiculous costume a bit more, either positively or negatively. - I thought HHH and Flair were pretty funny talking to Bischoff, especially Flair, when they were plugging everything HHH had done lately in a really goofy manner. - Tag match was fine. HHH gave Jericho quite a bit of offense in the beginning. Hated the DQ finish. Being a Jericho fan, I'd like to see them play up Jericho indirectly causing a rift through Evolution, but they're not going to do that. They should've had HHH accidently chair Flair as well. The heat directed at HHH for that would've done wonders for the guy. - Women's match was superb, and probably the best match Lita's ever been in. I got freaked out by her suicide dive, but I noticed Lita protected herself by using her arms to break her fall (ala Benoit whenever he Swandive heatbutts someone), so maybe she's learning. Trish was great, as usual, and I really liked the noseguard bit in the match, because it showed that Trish played Lita for a fool this whole time, and that Lita needed an extra bit of something to win the match. This caused her to execute a move she isn't known for (superplex) and a move she hasn't done in a while (moonsault). Great story told during the match, very impressive considering the pop for Lita before the match was almost non-existant, but she got a very satisfying pop after it was all done. Guest Loss Report post Posted December 7, 2004 I was very impressed at the heat Trish v Lita got, at how smart the match was and at Lita's effort compared to her normal crap. This also frees Trish up to enter the Royal Rumble, win, and go on to defeat HHH at Wrestlemania. The people demand it.
nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 Does anyone have a gif or something of Lita's suicide dive? I didn't bother to watch RAW so didn't see it live, but with everyone talking about how brutal it was, it'd be sweet to check out. Many thanks ...
Guest JMA Report post Posted December 7, 2004 I was a little surprised to see Lana Starr as one of Jericho's guests. She used to be in the WOW promotion (which sucked hard) and always seemed like a decent female wrestler. I wonder if she'll be hired. The Edge and Orton segment is something I REALLY liked. The emotion between those two felt so real.
Gary Floyd 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 Decent Raw last night. I loved the bit where Jericho impersonated Shatner, as well as the women's match. I was wondering though...Could heel Maven work out? I think I actually like him more as a heel then as a face.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 GOD Orton's promo's are terrible. There was one point where he fucked his line up so badly that he stopped, looked away to think of something else and continued on about something totally unrelated . Seeing Edge totally obliterate him and then cap it off by calling him his bitch was great and the brawl afterwards had awesome heat for it. Do people care about the womens championship enough for it to garner a ME slot on RAW?

Tawren 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2004 They totally fucked up the GM stip and once again, the faces were made to look like putzes. Jericho is GM for the night, but he gives decision power to Vince, who decides that the GM should decide who gets the title. So why didn't Jericho get to? Nothing any of the 4 did has repercussions (HHH will get the title back, if you don't believe he will I feel sorry for you). I'm having trouble remembering anything any of them did that was unique to themselves. Orton and Jericho did diva shit and that's it, Benoit put a sign-up sheet on a door, and Maven lost to HHH. That is all they did. Jericho, the egomaniac character, didn't even put himself in the main event! They totally fucked a pretty good opportunity up.
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2004 Orton was totally trying to be The Rock during his interview with Coach. And every week his fails, miserably. The guy is a total douche and a lot of the fans see that. The ones who don't will slowly turn on him, once they get past the "OMG HE'S AWESOME BECUZ THE WWE SAYS SO" thing.
