Justice Smith was voted off Tough Enough as was announced at the TV tapings in Greenville, SC, leaving Daniel Puder vs. Mike Mizanin in a boxing match at the Armageddon PPV, with the winner the strong favorite to get the $1 million contract.

They can't book a REAL Boxing Match (a real sport that needs a special promotor license), so they have to make up special names for it.

Good, I didn't care for him anyway. I almost, ALMOST went to SD tonight. I was actually at the box office about to buy a $36 ticket just for me, but I decided against it. I had went to Greenville to shop not knowing that SD was there tonight, and decided to just do what I was there to do. I did pay $5 for parking, I was that close to actually going.

 

As I was walking around the building, there was a handful of fans standing at a back gate where the wrestlers and people park, and they were talking to all three of the TE guys. I didn't talk to them personally, but I did see them and they seemed to be having a great time talking to the fans, and the fans seemed to really be enjoying it. This was at 5:30 or so also, so it was a bit early.

 

I wish I had went to the show now, I've never just went to a show by myself at the spur of the moment.

With this match added, this PPV has thenpotential of being just as bad as GAB. You could certainly guess that they will add a CW title match and probably Hiroko vs. Torrie again (God, no! ).

This whole TE thing is bullshit. The last two guys left are the smallest guys in the thing, and everybody obviously knows that nobody likes smaller wrestlers compared to big 6-9, 300 pound guys like Justice Smith and Dan Rodimer. I CALL SHENNANIGANS!

If this contest had truly been based upon athletic ability, instead of the shitty, retarded challenges that they came up with every week, I would say you would be wrong, since Puder is arguably the best all-around athlete of the bunch.

 

However, since it's not, I think you're likely right. Puder doesn't strike me as a guy with a whole lot of personality, and he can't cut a promo at all, but him punking out Angle gave him some credibility and a certain aura & mystique. It made Puder the internet fan favorite, and that's the sole reason why he's made it to the end, because 99.99% of the non-smart fans who watched that fateful segment with Angle wouldn't know what a keylock was or how Angle was screwed from the moment the move was applied.

Puder was the guy who got screwed out of the end of that physical contest that proceeded that match, and he actually held his own and got screwed at the end when his shoulders weren't down. When the forces line up against you in that way, there are going to be some fans that will be attracted to you. I don't think he would have topped out Mizanin at that point, cause Mizanin had the exposure at that point, but there were a lot of other factors involved in Puder's rise other than the fact that he should have beat Angle.

They CAN get a license, but the WWE has to be approved by the boxing commission of that specific state beforehand. The last time they promoted a boxing match (Carmella/Christy in Seattle) you may remember that the WWE (whoever the fault falls on) didn't get the boxing license.

 

Then again, the Dixie Dog Fight (which will be a shoot bout, as Meltzer as confirmed) doesn't have to be a boxing match.

Great idea, and probably what the WWE will do when (and I do mean WHEN) Mizanin loses the shoot bout at Armageddon.

 

If they go the route of Mizanin winning on next week's Smackdown with a small margin, with the announcers shilling that it was his prior fame that won him the contract despite getting his ass handed to him at Armageddon, you make Puder into a mega-face (as a result of Miz going heel).

 

EDIT: Nevermind. TSBY showed me the light. Just seems that Edge already did it a few weeks ago. Maybe have Puder go face for a while to further the angle, THEN turn heel to coincide with his in-ring debut?

Mega-Heel. He should be pissed off that because he wasn't a pretty boy or some mtv star, his dreams of being a wwe superstar and the Million dollar contract was flushed down the toliet but it didn't matter. He "busted" his ass and proved he deserved a spot on the rotation thanks to a private workout with The COB himself; Vince McMahon.

 

With this "Fuck the World" attitude and perhaps with Paul Heyman as the one who gave him the session with Vince, he could easily be a big heel.
