Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2004 Okay, so I watched this movie again for the first time in like 10 years...the scene where Joe Pesci gets smoked...he realizes as he enters that room that he is about to get killed then BLAM...the question is, how does he realize this? When Pesci killed that man in the restaurant, who was a made guy in another family... the other family ordered the life of Pesci. His own family had to whack him to prevent a war with rival clans. It's not like they are going to just say "Time to die, Tommy" so they told him he was finally being made. This allows Tommy to be unarmed and placed in the care of his family. The producers never got clearance to use the company's name. It was an American Airlines ticket - the company complained because they didn't want the movie to imply that they allowed cocaine dealers to go undetected.
