Besides, I don't think he really wants to be a big Hollywood star, seeing that he either cracks you up or annoys you. IMO, he's our generations Andy Kaufman-not as far as brillience, but the fact that he could never be a big movie star. Ever seen Peter Jackson's "The Frigheners?" I'm a fan of that movie. While it didn't kill any careers, I think it definately should have made Jeffrey Combs a star of sorts, seeing to how he's damn near perfect in that movie. John Candy, Dan Akroyd and Chevy Chase were all never really that good after that piece of tripe. Dan Akroyd's developed into a serviceable enough character actor but hasn't starred or even had a supporting part in anything good since and John Candy starred in a bunch of crap in the year or two before his death. He went from the only actor to ever be the No.1 box office draw for 5 years in a row (78-83) to starring in a mildly successful sitcom by the early 90's (Evening Shade) and trying to rekindle his career with Breaking In and Cop and a Half.... He honestly can't show his face on a movie screen anymore without doing a parody from Star Wars. Actually, the beard he had on Comic Book: The Movie managed to make me forget that this was Luke I was looking at, which is rather remmarkable becaue he hasn't aged that badly. I mean, the never-ending sequels of "Rocky" and "Rambo" weren't great or anything, but they weren't nearly as brutal as "Stop!" I haven't seen him since "Driven".
