This week in the NBA

Recommended Posts

Big week, obviously. National games include

Wed, ESPN2

Memphis @ Golden State, 10 PM ET

Thu, TNT

Minnesota @ San Antonio, 8 PM ET

Miami @ Sacramento, 10:30 PM ET

Christmas Day

Detroit @ Indiana, 12:30 PM ET (ESPN)

Miami @ LA Lakers, 3:00 PM ET (ABC)

I'm going on vacation Thursday, so I doubt I'll even get to see the Christmas games.

The Bulls are about half a period away from four consecutive victories, something that has NEVER happened in the post-Jordan era. We may only be 8 and 15 at the end of the night, and far out of the playoff picture, but this is a great step up for these players and a sign of great things to come.

By God, I think Eddy Curry has finally gotten it. I can wear my Hinrich jersey without being pelted with food!

Oh and by the way, Allen Iverson has declared nuclear holocaust on all that stand in his way.

Thank god the Lakers are playing as bad as the Clippers right now or I wouldn't be able to make through life.

They lose to the Grizzlies 92-82, which is the first time the Grizzlies beat the Lakers in L.A.(they were 0-18)

Kobe went a masterful 2/16 from the field. Lakers went 3-29 to end the game.

Here's what we're looking at with the Bulls down the road:

at Detroit

at Milwaukee

New Jersey

Orlando

Detroit

at New Orleans

Utah

The Pistons will be hard to beat at the Palace, but with the momentum we have going and the Pistons treading water, anything's possible. There's no excuse not to beat the Bucks right now. New Jersey is improved with Carter and Kidd but again, who knows. Orlando and Detroit will be tough. Hornets should be an easy win. Utah depends on AK47.

At home, since we've beaten the Cavs, Lakers, Minny and taken Dallas to the limit, I think we can beat any team. Its only the road game vs Detroit that worries me a little.

Shaq has proclaimed that he-

1. Is George Bush. He's the president. He's untouchable.

and

2. That he's a brick wall and Kobe's a corvette.

I'm kinda liking Shaq's metaphorical style as of late, regardless of how much I dislike him.

Damn

Clippers blew a 21 point lead against the Hornets and escaped with an OT win

Well any hope I had for the Clips went out the door when I came across this stretch of games for January

Sat 08 Phoenix

Tue 11 @ Seattle

Wed 12 Seattle

Fri 14 Miami

Sat 15 @ Sacramento

Mon 17 Sacramento

Wed 19 @ San Antonio

Thu 20 @ Dallas

The way they are playing now, they would go 0-8

What is it with the Clippers and overtime. Three standard OT's and three double OT games for 9 periods of extra time already this season, they must be getting paid by the minute or something.

I am SICK of this Shaq/Kobe stuff.

WHO REALLY CARES? Anyone, anyone?

I sort of do. It'd be interesting to see how they play against each other now that they aren't teammates anymore. I also have a personal interest in the game, since it's representative of where I'm from (LA) and where I am (Miami) so I have extra interest in Los Angeles beating Miami in that aspect.
