The Amazing Rando Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 doesn't Orton claim HBK as a "killed legend"
Guest Evolution Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 doesn't Orton claim HBK as a "killed legend" Perhaps they should play that up on the shows leading to NYR, since I forgot all about that.
Twisted Intestine Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 For those who've missed RAW: That guy was hilarious!
Spaceman Spiff Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 As for HBK as guest ref, that's a stupid idea. On a show already lacking in matches, build up, and stars (6 of the biggest guys are in one match) they put another big star into the main event. Plus, he's only going to take some of the focus off the guys in the match. Odds are he'll end up blading, and superkicking at least 2 guys during the course of the match.
The Mandarin Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 Finally a well booked show tonight. What was that, eight matches? Highlight of the night was BIG VIS bringing WORKRATE(!). I am not joking, I found Jesus during that matchup. Vis put out some crazy offense and didn't gas during the time span! Incredible. *3/4 affair, no joke. ..if everybody had have lost tonight, could you imagine Christian vs. Maven vs. Eugene vs. Viscera vs. Rhyno vs. Shelton Benjamin? I shudder at the thought.
MillenniumMan831 Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 The lil mark in me was cheering for Rhyno but it was all for naught. And I really dug that Benoit/Viscera match. Incredible selling by Benoit and it was nice to see a big man like Viscera bust his ass to not hinder the match w/ typical plodding offense and pointless posing midmatch.

HBK will superkick Edge and HHH. Edge vs. HBK at Wrestlemania. Guess who's going over.
algrim Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 Pretty good RAW, IMO. The only thing that sucked was the sense of impending doom we all feel for the scheduled debate next week. What other matches do you think they'll on the NYR card. I make the following predicitions: - Dean vs. Rosey or Hurricane - Benjamin vs. Maven (?) - Tag team title match - Hassan vs. Lawler (?)
Guest The Shadow Behind You Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 As for HBK as guest ref, that's a stupid idea. HBK will superkick Edge and HHH. Edge vs. HBK at Wrestlemania. Guess who's going over. NO! NO! NO! Must do HBK/Angle at Mania!!! HBK "inadvertly" SCM's Edge...Edge is enraged and takes him out of the match, forcing Bischoff to take over as referee. Edge cuts a "You screwed me out of my shot and now you screw me in the match? Screw you!". type promo and Shawn rebuttals...Edge demands a showdown @ Rumble...Bischoff agrees and books a Falls Count Anywhere Match. Edge wins in a bloody brawl. Shawn is treated in the trainer's room where we see a tv there...seuge into Edge is walking to his car where he spots Angle excercising for his Rumble match and brags about beating HBK where Angle congratulates Edge on beating an has been. Edge chuckles and leaves. We go back to the arena... Angle draws #9 and lasts a while until a hobbling and bangaged Shawn runs in and attacks Angle and sends him flying over the ropes and hits a suicide dive to boot as they brawl to the back. Bischoff/Long agree to for the sake of a major match to put behind their brand to agree to a interbrand match up with these two.
CanadianChick Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 I don't see why Randy was upset at the end...what beef does he have with Michaels? Well, recent beef at least? I actually didn't really get Benoit shaking his head either. Why does he care? Unless they bring up the WM XX thing, Benoit shouldn't really give a crap either.
CanadianChick Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 Oh, and I didn't like that main event at all. They hardly mentioned Benjamin's record against Triple H, and yeah, usually I'd agree that Triple H beating the IC champion is fine, but not Benjamin. Shelton should always be the guy that Trips just can't beat.
buffybeast Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 I've been away for several months and am clueless about a few things. Who is this Mohammed Hassan character? I mean, who is the wrestler, where did he come from, is he really an Arab, etc? Thanks. On a completely unrelated note, I can't believe they fired my man A-train but kept that lard ass Viscera around. WTF is up with that?!!???
The Niggardly King Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 The booking was horrible tonight. Have they forgotten that Maven was just a partner with the top faces? How come that has not been mentioned at all. Bad booking in matches was Eugene not getting counted out, and Flair not getting HHH DQed tonight. Dissapointing show all around.
Guest Tjhe CyNick Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 He's Italian, I think he was in OVW, but I forget his name. Someone will fill you in. I think HBK should face Edge at Mania. Even though I'd love to see Angle vs HBK for markish purposes, I really dont think that match will sell anymore than HBK vs Jericho did in Seattle. I would rather see Edge get a much needed high profile win over HBK at Mania, and then maybe Angle could do something with Puder for Mania. I know he's green and whatnot, but I think they should take a shot at trying to make him a star. Then Benoit could face Eddie in a RAW v SD match to satisfy the smarks.
The Niggardly King Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 Oh yeah, did anyone else hear ref Jack Doan tell Viscera to pin Benoit. Basically you could hear Jack throughout the whole match giving Vis his directions.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 I actually didn't really get Benoit shaking his head either. Why does he care? Unless they bring up the WM XX thing, Benoit shouldn't really give a crap either. Maybe its the fact HBK tried to screw him out of getting a World Title shot at Wrestlemania and has tried to take the World Title from Benoit on many occasions?
Guest Phenom Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 For those who've missed RAW: I declare this man to be furthermore known as 'Mark McGee'.
ChrisMWaters Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 Was I the only one that was hoping for a Godwinns run-in when Simon Dean called everyone fat hogs?
Lil' Bitch Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 I don't see why Randy was upset at the end...what beef does he have with Michaels? Well, recent beef at least? Well Orton never did get his JOB back. Edit: Well, excuse me!
Guest Evolution Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 http://www.news.cornell.edu He missed an important detail, is all.

HBK will superkick Edge and HHH. Edge vs. HBK at Wrestlemania. Guess who's going over. Nah, HBK will Superkick Batista causing him to be pinned by...Jericho or someone, making it look like he's anti-HHH, business as usual. Then he'll SHOCKINGLY help HHH win over Orton to get the title back. Then Orton can win the Rumble, and win the title back at WM, where we'll also get a Batista/HBK match.
Art Sandusky Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 Lita must have gotten some auxiliary implants. Those muthas were huge.
Precious Roy Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 44 percent??!! Yeah, what's up with that 56% holding out?!?! Damn commie traitors!
jester Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 On a completely unrelated note, I can't believe they fired my man A-train but kept that lard ass Viscera around. WTF is up with that?!!??? They also fired Gail Kim, Nidia and Jazz, and have been hiring random bimbos to stand around and badly recite two or three lines. I'm hoping that they offer Dennis Rodman huge money to appear in WWE next.
claydude14 Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 Was I the only one that was hoping for a Godwinns run-in when Simon Dean called everyone fat hogs? No, but I was hoping that Rosey and Dean would be set up for a Hog Pen Match at New Year's Revolution
Guest Evolution Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 On a completely unrelated note, I can't believe they fired my man A-train but kept that lard ass Viscera around. WTF is up with that?!!??? A-Train could never moo like Viscera. Honestly, I watched that match with Benoit over and over again, and I always cracked up when Viscera made his noises. Hilarious stuff, and if I knew where to find it on BitTorrent, I'd download it so I could keep it for myself. I was dumb enough to not record Raw on my TiVo, unfortunately.
Guest Rrrsh Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 I, too, did not like the lack of mention by JR and King of Shelton's past with Trips. Instead, they focused on anything that happened to him after his injury. The match it self was fine, just too short. The idea of Shelton losing in less than 5 minutes to anybody is stupid. But watching the match, he looked fine. The end was obviously rushed. In hignsight, they probably would have liked to just had a Lita or Simon Dean promo instead of their crap-tacular matches. The idea of the night was very interesting and had me watching all six matches, quality or not. That rarely happens on a normal RAW.
