Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 WHY DON'T THESE PEOPLE DEFEND THEMSELVES WHEN THEY'VE GOT A FUCKING GUN TO THEIR HEAD?
mike546 Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 I don't know, maybe for the fact they've got a FUCKING GUN AT THEIR HEAD?
starvenger Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Nice cliffhanger line: "Did you get that?"
Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 They're going to die anyways! Why hope the gun doesn't go off or something?!
Edwin MacPhisto Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Great, sly ending. 24 doesn't do that enough; maybe that's why this was so charming. Great to see them get the two best actors on this season--Sutherland and Aghdashloo--in some scenes together. I really like the way everything is playing out at this point. The reactors are going to go or be stopped in 2 hours, it seems. We've got our nuclear bomb/Teri and Kim kidnapped. What's next?
Vyce Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Despite her being really, really evil, I think I would probably screw the terrorist mom.
packwingfn Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 interesing episode. ill admit i had a tear for edgar and his mom. the ending with what jack said was great.
Guest OSIcon Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Another great episode. All the stories are so good and tied together so well this season that at least for now, it feels like Season 1 again. The Edgar thing was really well done. The Berouz and family storyline is probably my favorite non-Jack and non-Palmer storyline thus far. Add me to the list of people who liked the ending line also.
packwingfn Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 It might have been asked already. But where the hell is the president? He's been flying in the air for 9 hours! Maybe due to the attack? Anyone like Jack attacking the car?
Michrome Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 This season is easily the best. The Palmer stuff in season 1 doesn't even compare to the Araz family. Palmer and his son endlessly have the same fight, same with Palmer and his wife. So much wasted time. Everything matters this season and everything is intense. I can't wait for Michelle to come over from division and clean house next episode, and I can't wait for the Tony/Michelle confrontation. The dad is going down next episode, the only question is whether or not they will drag it out for the whole hour. I assume we'll be introduced to the real bad guys behind this whole thing next epsiode too. There's going to be something with that defense company, but another government conspiracy like season 2 doesn't really interest me.
Chazz Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Despite her being really, really evil, I think I would probably screw the terrorist mom. I'd like to get me some of that Terrorist MILF also!
Guest OSIcon Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 This season is easily the best. I am not ready to say that just yet. The first 10-12 or so hours of Season 2 (up to the bomb going off) were really good but the down stretch was pretty bad relative to what 24 is capable of. So far this season as been really, really good, but it could also get goofy with a big change in directions. It is definitely the best season since Season One though unless it totally falls apart at the end (which I doubt it will).
BlackFlagg Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 It might have been asked already. But where the hell is the president? He's been flying in the air for 9 hours! Maybe due to the attack? He's on Air Force One, everything is set up on that plane so the president can basically run the country from the air during a crisis such as this.
Jonathon Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 I don't know if it's been posted yet, but has anybody else noticed that fuckin' IMHOTEP is the main bad guy??
starvenger Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Yeah, it's been made mention on TWoP. Good 24 recaps there, provided you understand M Giant's cognomens...
DMann2003 Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Thanks to my work I've missed the last few episodes and it sounds like it's been real good too. :-( At least I'm on vacation next week so I won't miss next weeks episode thank God.
starvenger Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Hope you used your VCR/DVR or have BitTorrent...
Guest Brian Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Pretty good stuff. Years of the Whedon-verse have dropped me to levels way beyond pessimism and hopelessness, but the cliffhanger this week was really good. Since I'm new to this season, was Edgar there before, and had they played up his mom living in that area? Because if not, I felt that was overkill. And he came off as a little child against Erin when she asked what his mom would have wanted.
Stephen Joseph Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 (edited) Brian, Edgar's been the MAN (aside from Jack) this season. So far, this mild-mannered computer programmer has 1) Stopped 494 nuclear plants from melting down 2) Fingered the CTU mole 3) Not taken shit from Driscoll Seriously, he's like Chloe, except useful and non-annoying. I'm expecting that he,not Jack, will be the one to take down Driscoll in the end for her torture tactics. Edited February 15, 2005 by Stephen Joseph
Guest Brian Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 He's been great, but I'm wondering where the mother thing came from because I felt it was overkill. As for Driscoll sitting him down, he got punked and took it, that all I'm saying. I wish he would have stepped up.
Chazz Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 Edgar didn't really have a choice. Remember Driscoll telling him that If he tried to walk out he would be arrested and detained at CTU?
Stephen Joseph Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 I'm certain Edgar's going to give Driscoll her come-uppance. They've treated his character as someone who is unconfident in his abilities at first, pushed, and then does it and more (with rinse and repeat) You can only push Edgar so far until his nERD powA will take you down.
starvenger Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 OK, I'm impressed by Sarah. She really should still be an Aldo Montoya wannabe, but she's up and helping out.
packwingfn Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 good episode this week, especially since I got to watch in High Def! It had a good beginning, middle and end.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 Another good episode, if a bit anti-climactic after the last two or three humdingers. So long Navi, which was expected but disappointing, because he had really turned into a great character since the family went on the run. I do hope we don't layer *too* many extra conspirators on to the layers we've got. They've been at a good level thus far. And hey, how about some more training for those CTU security details. I think this is the third we've seen conked out this year. Clone Tony, give all the clones 4 arms, come on people.
starvenger Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 And hey, how about some more training for those CTU security details. I think this is the third we've seen conked out this year. Clone Tony, give all the clones 4 arms, come on people. But there is some irony in that Curtis looks to get tortured...
starvenger Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 btw, in case you haven't seen it... here's a fansite with their 24 greatest 24 moments. Fun stuff...
Urban Warfare Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 I just noticed on IMDB, the 24 section has "TV series, 2001-2005". Does anybody know if there will be a Season 5?
Guest El Satanico Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 IMDB lists the start year and current year of an active show. It doesn't mean anything to the future of the show.
