Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2005 It's in Detroit this year, so some friends and I would like to hit it up if possible. I believe tickets are already on sale, so I wanna get a move on finding tickets. Where's the place to look and does anyone have any approximate figures for what decent seats are going to fetch? Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2005 I probably should've added a question mark in the title, too.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2005 As far as where to get tickets, Ticketmaster, Comerica Park, and mlb.com seem like good starting points. I just want to warn you, though... I checked out ticket prices for the game when it was in Chicago at US Cellular, thinking it'd be a great once in a lifetime experience. I don't think I saw a single ticket for less than $250-300, and the best ones were much more expensive. They even charge ridiculous prices just for the Home Run Derby. lomasmoney 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2005 I live in metro Detroit too, and I want fucking tickets, as well, seeing as how i went to 32 home games this year. I might be able to pull Home Run Derby tickets through my dad
jimmy no nose 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2005 Usually most of the All Star tickets will end up being sold to season ticket holders. I don't know if they are even easily available to anyone else. If they are they're usually gone pretty quickly. Your best bet is just to check around on online ticket sites. Doing just a quick check the cheapest seats I've seen were over $350 and that's for the worst seats there.
sfaJack 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2005 ASG tickets were pretty hard to get down here this last year, unless you went through a broker (and paid out the ass for them). MLB sells many of them to sponsors, corporations, and then I believe season ticket holders get right of first refusal, so I don't know if you should expect them to just be available for the general public. And if I remember correctly, they didn't start selling them until mid- or late April last year. Prices were ridiculous, at about $250-300 for even decent seats, but that's been stated here already.
