I'm not asking for JR to be going "BENOIT BENOIT BENOIT OMG BENOIT" for 50 minutes, but lasting from the finish to near the end is something that should be at least mentioned.

And anyone giving **** to Orton/HHH needs to explain themselves. Now.

Im working on getting my "Muhhamad Hassan waves bye-bye before getting tossed" animated gif up. Probably wont be up for a while though (I gotta find somewhere to host a 500kb file)

The only two things I can complain about are the ending to the Rumble match itself and Heidi/Taker. Everything else, I felt was worth my $35, including both title matches even though it was obvious who was winning them.

Im anxious to find out whether or not Orton fried his brain out more than it looked like. At one point where he was just lollygagging outside the ring and the ref told him he had to get back in the ring, I thought for sure he had been knocked 6 ways from silly..

To the skeptics to the Benoit opinion:

I understand the fact that you believe smarks cream themselves over everything Benoit does, but the point some of us are trying to make is very simple. So simple that I will set it apart from this paragraph so you'll understand.

Chris Benoit won the 2004 Rumble. But was he ever viewed as a threat to win this year? No.

I don't think it ruined the Rumble. I just think it was a slip up, plain and simple.

Stop jumping to conclusions.

Ok, I've only skimmed the last couple pages of this, but didn't anyone notice that Vince most likely got hurt on that slip into the ring?

Yea, a few people mentioned it when it happened.

Any analysis yet? Becuase that most likely fucked up him getting on the mike and demanding the match continue, rather then Finkel?

Hey RETARDS! Hey SMARTS! There's your fucking news right there. Ugh, for people who are supposed to notice every single spot, they miss the most important fuck up ever seen. well with a couple exceptions.

Who the fuck said anything about a conspiracy? They're just saying his (and Edge's for that matter, especially considering he had a near 20-minute match earlier) run should have gotten some mention. This is just more anti-Benoit attention whoring.

Seriously If any idiot tries to say last year's was better is either a stupid benoit mark or a brain dead fool.

...or they just have a different opinion than you.

Here's my own damned opinion . . .

The PPV was awesome - if UT/Heidenreich hadn't occured, it would've been even better.

HBK/Edge was really good, would probably give that one ***1/2

UT/Heidenreich was * at best, the ONLY thing saving it was the Snitsky/Kane interference, and the bump with Heidenreich halfway in the casket getting a legdrop from UT.

The WWE title triple threat was pretty solid, I thought. ***

HHH/Orton was superb. I know, I'll get flamed because everyone's two least favorite wrestlers were involved, but sue me - I liked the match. ****

The Rumble itself was off the chain. Better than 04, on a pretty even par with 92. The ONLY thing that killed this Rumble was the ending, and I can even look over it, considering Vince probably busted a nut AND a kneecap trying to get in the ring. I have a feeling that he was supposed to speak and restart the match, but the whole thing went to hell when he couldn't even get in the ring properly. ****3/4

As a whole, it's one of the best PPV's in the last 5 years, without question. I'm stoked about WrestleMania, even moreso than last year. HHH/Batista will hopefully have a "big match" feel (assuming that's the route they take), and Angle/HBK should be about ten kinds of wrestling goodness.

If anyone ever wondered why the star system has become such a flawed practice, here's a shining example. "Hey, that was a good match. ***3/4"

The star system is really useless unless you, ya know, back it up and explain your reasoning. Unless you just pulled these ratings out of your ass, which would seem to be the case.

I thought the Nunzio/Angle segment was classic.

Nunzio: "Yes I got the final spot"

Angle appears and snatches Nunzio's

Nunzio: "Hey thats mine"

Angle: "So what, you wanna fight about it?"

Benoit's 49 minutes shouldn't be the focus when Mysterio and Edge's performences were more admirable.

Wow. You are so smart. It should be mentioned, end of story. It is not a hard thing to go "and Benoit is still in there! What a tenacious man he is!" and then get back on to whoever they want to pimp. That's not hard. That's just basic not being an idiot 101.

Yeah man, I need attention from a Pro Wrestling forum. Shut up, listen to yourself, your basically saying if anyone says anything slighty negative about Benoit is a attention seeking post whore? Get a life. I like Benoit, but this match was just too crazy to be focused on him. And if anything Rey gets more credit then Benoit in my books, he was out there flying and bumping his ass off for over 40 miniutes without a breather.

Cena was robbed. I hope they try to turn it into an angle on Smackdown. Batista was the right man to win though.

These are just my early thoughts, so no star ratings or anything.

- Rhyno vs. Maven. Garbage, and a tag title match was advertised. I wished they had done that instead.

- Edge vs. HBK. It went too long considering both guys were holding back for their Rumble appearance. Could have been better if held to 12 minutes or so.

- Heidenreich vs. Undertaker. Like I said in the predictions. They are trying their best to absolutely bury Heidenreich. He's not a good wrestler, but they still are being unfair.

- JBL vs. Big Show vs. Angle. Good triple threat match. Not great. About what I expected. This was the match I was most looking forward too, other than the Rumble, and I was cheering for JBL all the way.

- HHH vs. Orton. It had the right result, but Orton seriously looked fucked up and the match suffered for it.

- Royal Rumble. Great Rumble, probably top 4. Rey, Eddy & Benoit stole the show, and there were plenty of nice moments. I loved it when RAW & Smackdown went at it to the biggest pop of the night, and the gang beatings on Puder & Hassan. I correctly predicted Eddy as #1, Batista as #28, Christian as #29 and Flair as #30, so I was happy about that. I didn't like Christian & Edge's choice in tights. I got the two confused for the time they were in the ring, kind of like Piper & Duggan in 1992.

The focus should be Vince's torn up knee making the new finish be thought up on the fly you fucking blind idiots.

The only difference I can see that him hurting himself caused was that Finkel said it would continue, not Vince.

Hmm..

HHH vs Batista

JBL vs Cena

Angle vs HBK

Snitsky/Heidi vs Taker/Kane

All neatly set up for WM.

Puder vs Bob Holly at NWO too, maybe..

Plus I think they did a good job of getting the Barbed wire Cage stipulation in for JBL/Big Show at NWO

He's sorta right. The undercard was forgettable (when the most interesting development is a guy getting concussed, there's a problem), but I felt the Rumble delivered well. No comment on the Benoit fandom-influenced analysis.

Eh- Tawren seems to hate everything.

If you don't like the RR match itself...then why watch the show?

I thought the show was good- I really enjoyed Edge v. HBK and the Rumble was fun as usual

I'm pretty sure they were going to restart the match anyways. I dont think Vince's injury changed the booking @ all.

Im almost certain that Vince was going to do a "No! NO! I will not have this again! No more double winners! I want a winner and I want one now. Restart this match now!". promo.

Exactly.

Coach stayed in longer then (well a lot of people), then like Hurricane..and Dupree, Dean/nova, and even Kurt Angle. Should he have got more mention, just because he stayed in longer?

They DID mention Benoit, is the thing. Benoit won the Rumble last year..but that was last year. Angle should have got more recognition for JUST (well 20 minutes) wrestling a grueling WWE title match. or Edge, for wrestling earlier in the night. etc.

Shhhhhhhhhh, I am trying to educate the asshole Benoit marks who won't stop complaining, even if their hero won the 2004 Rumble, won Wrestlemania 20, and held the belt convincingly for more then 6 months.

Riiight. Now, I kind of have this mindset: good > crap. I know, shocking. I'm such a smark faggot.

So what are you saying? They should be mentioning this stuff. It isn't hard. "Angle wrestled a huge match tonight! And he is now in the ring! Can he do it?" That takes 15 seconds to say. Substitute Edge for the same thing. It isn't hard and it is something that should be expected.

Vince speaking on the mic to restart the match means a hell of a lot more then Finkel you idiot. If you don't realize that, then you are definitely under 15 years old, if not physically, then mentally.
