Gary Floyd Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 February 3 Zombi - Spirit Animal (don't really know why it's listed under metal releases) Sweet. Ameroeurs full length debut should be coming out in March. Really looking forward to that.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted January 17, 2009 Report Posted January 17, 2009 For those that haven't listened to it yet, back on page 2 or 3 or whatever, that !T.O.O.H.! band TheBigSwigg posted is fucking amazing. We owe him one big teamwork blowjob for these guys.
Gary Floyd Posted January 17, 2009 Report Posted January 17, 2009 Yeah. !T.O.O.H.! are pretty awesome. All right, let's start talking Godflesh
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted January 17, 2009 Report Posted January 17, 2009 Lets indeed! Streetcleaner, baby. Pure is terrific as well.
Gary Floyd Posted January 17, 2009 Report Posted January 17, 2009 Pure is my favorite Godflesh album, though Streetcleaner gets a close second.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 Ok, I've mentioned in a few times on the board, and probably in this very thread, so for those who are seriously curious, here's a cut off of Cold Lake. It's hard to believe this band also made this, which fucking rocks to no end:
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 Here's some real torture-type shit:
Gary Floyd Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 This thread needs some Death/Doom Metal dISEMBOWELMENT Dance of December Souls era Katatonia Autopsy Asphyx Winter The IVth Crusade era Bolt Thrower Feel free to add your own
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 This is the single greatest music video of all time and fuck everyone who doesn't think so.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 Ok. I'm on my second listen now. Those guys fucking rock.
Slayer Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 Spurred by discussion of "Ride Like the Wind" with Czech the other day we (well, I) started discussing metal covers of non-metal songs. Three favorites that immediately come to mind (I'll think of others in due time): (Christopher Cross) Video has that "80's WTF" quality to it, but I can't complain about watching cute women in tights running around Celtic Frost - "Mexican Radio" (Wall of Voodoo) Therion - "Summernight City" (ABBA) Share your favorites¹ ¹Please note that mentioning any cover (I know two, at least) of "Baby One More Time" is grounds for immediate dismissal from this thread
Steviekick Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 I've heard/seen that a few times, but never set to Dora cartoons.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 Not sure if this technically counts, but I love Faith No More's covers. Easy- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOdr9FiNZoQ I Started a Joke- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qTUBBQfL5M This Guy's In Love With You-
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 Not a cover: TORSOFUCK Best band ever. Lyrics- I was visiting in africa two months ago My goal was to see all those wild animals Most excited I was when I came close to elephants They were so big and somehow so scary Something happened when I snapped a picture Three elephants surrounded me One of them ripped off all my clothes Second elephant came on me and started to spread my buttocks With its huge trunk I screamed in agony when I felt it started to shove up my ass Third elephant forced me to take its giant cock in my mouth I sucked like a whore while I was assfucked by elephant trunk After all it wasnt too bad at all It took only about ten minutes and cock in my mouth started to cum Extremely huge load of elephant sperm filled my throat and Spurted allover my face I was completely fucked up, but elephants had one more thing to do All three of them huffed and puffed shits on me Then they left me alone with my ripped asshole I'll never go to Africa again
EL BRUJ0 Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 Fuck that's a good track to start off the workday. I've heard/seen that a few times, but never set to Dora cartoons. good but it's lacking Map Back to the cover things: In Flames - Everything Counts (Depeche Mode) I enjoy it as a single but its placement on the Whoracle albums throws the flow off. It would've been better tacked on at the end as the bonus track.
Corey_Lazarus Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 Anal Cunt. "Three's Company Theme."
Gary Floyd Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 "I'll never go to Africa again" was the kicker for me.
Slayer Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 So did they just record a guy shitting next to a mic?
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Maybe. It's really doesn't affect how awesome it is.

AboveAverage484 Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 This is kind of old news, but as someone who used to disregard his opinion on this particular band I would like to take this time to admit that Agent was right about Acid Bath all along. I listened to "When a Kite String Pops" a couple of years ago, then proceeded to hook a dude at work up with it. It was a big hit with him and became a regular on the soundtrack at the pizza place. Plus it got me to listen to Entombed in a roundabout way, which isn't bad either. Agent was right.

Corey_Lazarus Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 Wait...WHAT?! WHAT THE MOTHERFUCKING FLYING FUCK?!?!?!?!?!!? I could understand "oh, I've never really checked out Slayer." I could even get "eh, I haven't heard a ton of Iron Maiden/Judas Priest/any other late 70's or early 80's metal band." ...but "I HAVEN'T HEARD MUCH PANTERA"?!?!?!?!?!?!!?
