Of those 10,000, approximately 1/3, or 3,333 are captured, and returned to Mexico or Canada or whatever country of origin they profess. Of the remaining 6,667, half of them eventually take up permanent residence in the US. Remember now, that's 3,333 illegal immigrants taking up permanent residence in the US every day. That's an average gross estimate of 1,216,545 illegal immigrants becoming permanent residents every year. Now, if that doesn't scare you, or at least worry you, then you must be stupid. Especially considering the likelihood of terrorism in the US, 1 in 3 odds should scare the living daylights out of you.

It doesn't worry me or scare me at all because what is the negative impact of it.

In my home town, Wal-mart is the best career move and there are NO illegals there (it is a small Alabama town). Bad economy is not a direct result of illegal immigrants. Unless you are on the "dey tuk ar jobs!!!" kick, which is bs if you are saying illegals came into your home town, took all the "good" jobs and left the rest of you working at Walmart.

Force American companies to pay illegals the same wage they'd pay a qualified American to do that job. That way, a company can't pay some illegal Mexican $3 an hour under the table to do the job an American would get $8 an hour for.

 

I'm also in favor of more border patrols, tougher immigration policies, and finally fucking making English the official language of the country. If you want to live here and don't want to learn it, the hell with you. Get back on the boat, then.

Right..... If law enforcement officials knew about American companies paying illegals to do the jobs $3/hour, don't you think they'd enforce the labor law first rather than saying "Hey well look at all the illegals you have.. Keep em working, but pay them well?". That doesn't seem to make any sense. Perhaps I missed something in your logic, though.

It is a very big misconception that illegals are getting paid 3 bucks a hour for the jobs. They are for the most part paid minimum wage for jobs that other americans wouldn't pay minimum wage for. The employers need to be able to pretend that they didn't know the employees were illegal.

 

For construction jobs, and I can say this. I used to catch the bus where bunch of dayworkers used to congregate and people would pull up and and offer them work. This one guy was like 9.00 per hour and they all walked off and laughed at him. I know in Atlanta, if you want them 3 dollar and hour people, you had better go to crackhead ally cause the illegals here aint budging without you forking over at least 11-12 per hour.

I've had two years of college, can type 60 words per minute, know Word and Excel, have experience as a TV broadcast announcer, and know enough about video production that I'm a one-man camera crew, but I still can't find a job that pays $11-12 an hour.
