Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2005 Would this be the Emerald City ComicCon? Because I was at that one over the weekend. I picked up... Deadpool #s 6, 11, and 68 (which I then got signed by Gail Simone) Justice League Europe 1-5. (I got all but #2 for twenty-five cents each.) JLI 4, 21, and 22 Thunderbolts 16 (which Kurt Busiek, as he was signing it for me, called the "Special fat girl cover.") and 57. New Thunderbolts #1 aaaand the entire "Unresolved" arc of Gotham Central. Can't quite remember what issues those actually were. Got a decent amount of stuff for twenty bucks, really. Guest TonyJaymzV1 Report post Posted February 7, 2005 no, this was a small convention done by some local comic shops. No big names, nothing like that, just a huge amount of dealers and some great prices. If they ever send something big to MD, i'm going, but generally, i think we just get these small ones. My East Coast geography kinda sucks, but you could probably do a road trip up to Wizard World Philly, couldn't you?
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2005 I went to Wizard World Philly last year...it was awesome!
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2005 If your in MD, you might also want to check out the Baltimore Comic Con. It's the weekend of Sept. 17-18 and they usually have some pretty good talent. It's a great medium sized convention...big enough to get guys like Mark Waid but small enough that you actually get to interact with them.
SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2005 Yeah, I guess its that time of year again. Were any celebrities there, TonyJaymzV1? (And by "celebrity" I mean sci-fi actors, famous creators, or Playmates I might have heard of.)
