Trish Stratus almost literally had her upper lip ripped off during a house show match with Victoria in Honolulu this past weekend. She received several stitches after the match and obviously was said to be very upset about the injury.

Here's a pic of a segment Trish had in Japan that was taken off from TV. She's on the TitanTron, but it gives a good view of what her injury was like. (Don't worry, it's not too gruesome)

Here is the match result from that show in question...

 

Trish Stratus defeated Victoria to retain the WWE Women's Championship. Trish's mouth got busted open about halfway through the match. Trish's mouth was visibly red from even the second level where I was seated.

I don't blame her for being upset; any injury which could mar her looks could jeopardize her career. She's eye candy, and if she doesn't look good then her value declines.

God Bless Trish for being such a hard worker, despite looking good enough to get over without having to wrestle, but wow, she's NOT going to age well at all. She's been very injury prone lately.

One chick with a fucked up mouth disappears in Amy Weber, Trish takes her spot. Talk about a clue chipper. Also, considering Vince pays for implants, I'm sure he'll cover the costs of the cosmetic surgery for his top female wrestler.

Not a big deal. She probably won't even need cosmetic surgery.

I don't know why this is a big deal. It looks bad now, but in a couple weeks you probably won't even notice it. A busted lip isn't exactly a long-term injury...

I really feel bad that Trish feels bad about this...because I understand why it upsets her. She's still fresh but not as young as some of the "new Divas," she's doing double duty as a Diva and a wrestler, and it seems like her spirit is telling her to work her ass off while her brain is telling her to preserve her #1 asset. That's kinda sobering.

 

Seriously, though, she should drop the vanity if she's going to continue to bust her ass like she does. A rose doesn't stay petal fresh in a rocky garden.

Looks like she just got potatoed in the mouth. Whoever the original poster got the story from made it sound like her lip was torn off her face but the pic looks like a garden variety busted lip.

 

If you've ever had one (and I have) the thing swells up to like 5x normal size and makes it look a whole lot worse than it really is.

Any busted lip, by definition, would probably warrant stitches.

 

I'm just saying, after the swelling goes down she should look normal. I don't think she'd need any plastic surgery or anything like that.

I've must have had dozens of busted lips in my lifetime, but never any that warranted stitches, generally just week - ten days or so for it to be totally gone. Then again, maybe I am just negligent and full of machismo.

 

I remember when Taker almost lost an ear because of Austin's kneebrace... maybe Trish had a similar situation with Victoria on a kneelift or something.
